Abstract: This research presented a improving the power transfer capacity of 11KVA distribution network using artificial neural based demand side management technique. The study was embarked on to address the problem of low profit margin experienced in the distribution companies and also the issues of user dissatisfaction on the quality of power supplied. This was addressed using artificial neural network to develop prediction model using data collected from EEDC and then train. The model was implemented with Matlab and deployed for load forecasting and demand response. The result showed that the load forecast accuracy is 94% while the cost estimated accuracy is 97.6%. The implication of this result showed that the model will accurately provides information for better demand response.

Abstract: The power compensation is the one of the problem in distribution network. The power compensation is done by maintain the reactive power in distribution network. The power is maintain the state of the Unified power quality conditioner (UPQC). The UPAC controlled by the STATCOM or DSTATCOM. Different approaches use to maintain the power at needed level in the power distribution network the process done by MOPSO optimization method the MOPSO is the best for this process because we consider the lot of objective function to optimize the place of the UPQC. In our proposed work we find the power level in distribution network using optimization algorithm. The optimization algorithm is used to optimization the power and find which place is suitable for place the STATCOM or DSTATCOM. This is used to maintain the reactive power in distribution network.

Abstract: This work presents the improvement of a wind turbine system using pitch and yaw adjustment controller. The aim is to optimize the performance of a traditional wind turbine system characterized with a PID controller to produce a better power quality output. This was achieved using the structural and mathematical design methods. The materials used for the development are the asynchronous motor, pitch and yaw adjustment adaptive controller, breakers, wind turbine, and condenser. The materials were designed using a process modelling technique which integrates the components using the wind turbine model, model of the controller, model of the motor, model of the turbine dynamics considering the coefficient of the turbine blade angle. The models were investigated using simulink, tested and compared with the conventional wind turbine. The results show that the adaptive controller was able to adjust the turbine to maximize wind extraction at 12ms, compared to the characterized turbine without adaptive controller at 47ms. The percentage improvement in the controller response performance is 25.5% achieved with the percentage difference between the conventional system response time and new system response time.

Abstract: This work presents the minimization of harmonics in 11KV power distribution transformer system using shunt active filter. The aim was to reduce to the lowest percentage the level of harmonic voltage in the Djamija 11kV feeder transformer characterized from the data collected at the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC)using k-factor technique which read harmonic percentage of 5.37%. This was reduced by developing a shunt filter using RLC elements and implemented on the 11kV feeder using Matlab. The result showed that harmonic was reduced from 5.37% to 0.085% which according to the Nigerian Electricity regulation Commission (NERC) is within the acceptable tolerance value for harmonics in power system.

Abstract: A microgrid having sun based PV exhibits and a battery energy storage framework (BESS). The vast majority of the energy the board system utilized for business photovoltaic (PV) inverters and battery inverters don't think about the future burden conduct and can't guarantee the energy versatility for a PV and battery storage based microgrid. This paper proposed design and control of energy storage management and PV power control with performance improvement for microgrids applications. The simulation is done using MATLAB software.

Abstract: In this paper a three level inverter is introduced operated with FIS control for optimized operation for performance improvement connected to a solar panel. Three level or NPC are a family of multilevel power converters that are characterized by the use of clamping diodes for guaranteeing the proper voltage sharing across the power switches. A fuzzy logic controller with 49 rule base is introduced for the generation of reference signals compared to high frequency triangular waveforms for generation of pulses for the inverter. The PV module is modeled in MATLAB simulink environment connected to the inverter for renewable application. The output results are generated by graphs with respect to time.

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to solve fractional differential equations by using fractional Laplace transforms based on Jumarie’s modified Riemann-Liouville (R-L) fractional derivative. A new multiplication of fractional analytic functions plays a vital role in this research. We give some examples to illustrate the application of fractional Laplace transform in solving fractional differential equations. In fact, the method we use is a natural generalization of the Laplace transforms of analytic functions.

Abstract: This paper show analysis for enhancement of transient stability of power system with variable series compensation of transmission line. The transient stability analysis is done for an IEEE 9 Bus system with a Three phase fault. Created at a Bus and the simulation is on PSAT in MATLAB. The time domain simulation that series FACTS Controller. Thyristor control series capacitor (TCSC) and Static Synchronous Series Compensated (SSSC) .TCSC,SSSC has enhanced that transient performance of the system by damping out the power oscillation under large disturbance condition with less settling time . In this paper three case are consider. (i) Steady State System (ii) Fault System (iii) Transient Stability enhanced  system with TCSC & SSSC .

The simulation result show effective of variable series compensation.
