Abstract: This “solar powered vision based robotic lawn mower” is an autonomous lawn mower that will allow the user to the ability to cut their grass with minimal effort. Unlike other robotic lawn mowers on the market, this design requires no perimeter wires to maintain the robot within the lawn and also  with less human effort in the manual mode operation. There are some preset pattern installed in the robot, in the automatic mode operation no human effort needed for the operation and helps to cut different patterns in the lawn very easily with less time..  Through an array of sensors safety takes major consideration in the device, this robot will not only stay on the lawn, it will avoid and detect objects and humans. And also it detect the land boundaries and start mowing upon the predefine pattern with the help of installed camera and MATLAB programming.

Abstract:  Engineering as it finds its wide range of application in every field not an exception even the medical field. One of the technologies which aid the surgeons to perform even the most complicated surgeries successfully is Virtual Reality. Even though virtual reality is employed to carry out operations the surgeon’s attention is one of the most important parameter. If he commits any mistakes it may lead to a dangerous end. So, one may think of a technology that reduces the burdens of a surgeon by providing an efficient interaction to the surgeon than VR. Now our dream came to reality by means of a technology called “HAPTIC TECHNOLOGY”. Haptic is the “science of applying tactile sensation to human interaction with computers”.

Abstract:  With the increase in nonlinearity in power system, Voltage sag, voltage swell and generation of harmonics that may cause system instability. To compensate all these problems in transmission system svc is used. Static VAR Compensator (SVC) has been used as a supplementary controller to improve transient stability and power oscillation damping of the system. This paper presents modeling and simulation of SVC with FUZZY logic controller in MATLAB/Simulink. The aim of svc with fuzzy logic controller is to make it more compatible with prevailing load demand so as to maintain the system stability under heavy load condition or light loading conditions.

Abstract: Fingerprint is a biometric that provides secure process to authenticate a person due to its permanent feature and uniqueness that stay behind throughout human life. It has been in used for more than 100 years as a result of its achievability, reliability, accuracy, and acceptability. Although there exist many algorithms for fingerprint authentication, there is still a need to close the gap of accurateness. Among the algorithm of fingerprint methods are minutiae matching and pattern matching method. A minutiae matching is widely used for fingerprint recognition and can be classified as ridge ending and ridge bifurcation. In this paper the minutiae extraction method was improved by combining it with image enhancement that includes noise reduction, smoothing, contrast stretching, histogram equalization, Fourier transform and edge enhancement. For the image preprocessing steps, we have used histogram equalization followed by Fast Fourier Transform to do the image enhancement and then image binerization is done by locally adaptive threshold method. This method presented a satisfactorily performance.

Abstract: Essential Tremor is the most common form of pathological tremor, it is a common neurological movement disorder causing involuntary oscillations in body parts. This work approaches a light weight, wearable tremor suppression orthosis using an spring on-off technique.   This method uses a wearable inertial sensor to extract tremor data and the data is given to Matlab wavelet code for estimating severity of tremor frequency then based on its output spring on-off technique is applied.

Abstract: The global temperature has risen continuously over the past century, causing climate change all over the world and resulting in more and more extreme weather conditions. Many places have seen changes in rainfall, resulting in more floods, droughts, or intense rain, as well as more frequent and severe heat waves. The later oppose a severe thread to society by worsening the effect of urban heat island as well as leading to droughts, jeopardizing food production and security. Several measures to counteract the challenges imposed by climate change have be introduced. Most of which involving the planting of horticultural and even food crops in cities, e.g. vertically or on rooftops, in order to ease urban heat, by evaporation. Thus increasing the demand for water retentive, lightweight, and permanent material as soil additive and construction material. PolyHIPEs, porous emulsion-templated polymers, synthesized within high internal phase emulsions, have been used successfully used to reduce the water stress on crops, by incorporating them into the soil as an internal water storage medium. This study examines the relationship between void size and level of interconnectivity of Poly(S/DVB)HIPEs on water adsorption and holding capacities, and it suggests that there is a direct relationship between void size and water adsorption and holding capacities.

Abstract: The multilevel converter has drawn tremendous interest in the power industry. The general structure of the multilevel converter is to synthesize a sinusoidal voltage from several levels of dc voltages. Multilevel voltage source converters are emerging as a new breed of power converter options for both medium and high power applications. This paper deals with the design and implementation of a five level cascade H bridge converter (CHB) based static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) employing an effective modulation control technique simulated in a MATLAB Simulink environment. The main object of this paper to maintain the voltage profile by compensating the reactive power. Relative Harmonic analysis is also discussed in this paper based on the total harmonic distortion (THD) calculations.

Abstract: Mobile Ad hoc networks (MANETs) are self-formed and self organized by a collection of mobile nodes, interconnected by multi-hop wireless paths in a strictly peer to peer fashion. Scalability of a routing protocol is its ability to support the continuous increase in the network parameters (such as mobility rate, traffic rate and network size) without degrading network performance. The goal of QoS provisioning is to achieve a more deterministic network behaviors, so that information carried by the network can be better delivered and network resources can be better utilized. We are analyzing the performance of reactive routing protocol via increasing number of nodes and observing its effect on Quality of Service (QoS) of Mobile Ad-hoc Network. The performance metrics comprises of QoS parameters such as packet delivery ratio, end to end delay, routing overhead, throughput and jitter. The effect of scalability on these QoS parameters is analyzed by varying number of nodes, packet size, time interval between packets and mobility rates.

Abstract: A multi hop wireless sensor network is composed of large number of nodes and consecutive link between them. Wireless sensor network normally consist of large number of distributed nodes. In WSN one of the main problems is related to power issue because every node is operated by external battery. To have a large network life time all nodes need to minimize their power consumption. Node is composed of small battery so energy associated with this is very less so replacing or refilling of battery is not possible which is very costly. Hence some technique are applied through which power associated with each node can be conserved. In this paper we consider only transmission section of node (i.e. node as a transmitter) and proposed its design for low power consumption by using power gating signal.
