Abstract: An exploratory examination has been completed to study heat transfer by dimpled surface. Reynolds number in view of hydraulic diameter and velocity is differed from 800 to 4000. The proportion of dimple depth to dimple diameter is 0.25.The proportion of channel height to diameter is 0.625. The heat transfer information acquired is contrasted and the information gotten from smooth plate under comparative geometric and stream conditions. It is watched that at all Reynolds number as velocity builds, the standardized Nusselt number and thermal performance increments.

Abstract: This article gives important guidelines for vertical axis wind rotor new designed active pitch control system aerodynamic force perturbations at pitch mechanisms and servo motor. For active pitch control system servo motor power calculation is important to have information about all possible loads on the system. The research main target is using experimental data find the aerodynamic force as function of blade pitch angle. The research was provided using new designed special servo test bench with experimental blade of NACA0018 profile. Experimental data analyse provides full information about possible aerodynamic force as function of blade pitch angle. Provided functions can be used in next researches about active pitch control system servo motor power calculation or wind rotor blade angle control methods. Main experimental research conclusion provides information that aerodynamic blade force to pitch system servo motor in range of pitch angle ± 20 ° is ≈ 0 Nm. In case if pitch angle is more than 20 ° then aerodynamic force is linear function of blade length and pitch angle.

Abstract: The detection of bio-magnetic activities enables non-contact and non-invasive evaluation of electrical activity in living organisms. In this paper a practical method to achieve bio-magnetic field detection in non-magnetically shielded environment at the RT in introduced. This method is based on Giant Magneto-Impedance (GMI) Effect in amorphous wire. At first, bio-magnetic fields and the principal of GMI effect are reviewed. After that off-diagonal GMI effect measurement experiment is carried out to obtain the circuit design requirement. The experimental result is formed that, if the sensitivity of GMI sensors reach to 10 pico-Tesla (pT) level, the gain of amplifier circuit should be more than 10 thousand times. It is almost impossible to obtain so much gain by only one order amplifier circuit, so the circuit was designed using several orders for sake of a stable and high gain (A>=100,000). Usually in non-magnetically shielded environment, the fluctuation of power frequency interference is about nanoTesla (nT) level. Hence, some notch filter circuits were designed to eliminate power frequency interference and to prevent circuit saturation. As the bio-magnetic fields distribute in the low frequency domain, we filtered out the frequency above 200 Hz. In the last part performance testing is carried out. We utilized a long enough straight wire to generate weak magnetic field for sensitivity testing, we could infer that the bio-sensor sensitivity is near to 10pT in non-magnetically shielded environment.

Abstract: Due to the complex geometrical of tubular T-joints and the loading condition in offshore tubular structures, fatigue damage is the most common failure mode in offshore tubular structures. The fatigue cracks usually occur at the brace to chord intersection. And fraction mechanism methods is the most common method to estimate the fatigue life of tubular T-joints. Thus, this paper focuses on the stress intensity factors of cracked Circular Hollow Sections (CHSs) tubular T-joints. FEM is produced to calculate the stress intensity factors along the crack front. Based on the FEM of tubular T-joint, the stress intensity factors of a cracked CHS T-joint subjected to brace end axial loads are calculated. The FEM are analysed on ABAQUS software and compared with existing experimental results. It is found that the SIF computed from the FEM is agreed with the experimental results of T-joints. After that, a parametric study is conducted on the geometrical parameter of the tubular T-joints.

Abstract: Automated Teller Machine’s are a part of our life as they allow easy access to get cash, pay bills, purchase or sell stocks or make credits twenty-four hours a day. The idea of Real Time Monitoring and Security Based System for ATM Centre arised with the incidents happening around us in day to day life. This project deals with prevention of ATM theft from robbery. A vibration sensor is used here which senses vibration produced from ATM machine, whenever robbery occurs. This system employs ARM controller based embedded system to process real time data collected using the vibration sensor. A buzzer is used to produce beep sound whenever vibration is sensed. The door of ATM centre is closed using DC motor. The thief is bought into unconscious stage using stepper motor which leaks the gas inside the ATM. Camera is employed in ATM centre to capture the activities, which is saved in computer. RTC is used to record the time of robbery and pass the recorded time as a message to nearby police station and corresponding bank through the GSM. This will avoid the robbery and the person involved in robbery can be easily caught. Here, Keil tools are used to run the DC motor and stepper motor which will automatically lock the door and also emit the gas inside the ATM.

Title: Real Time Monitoring and Security Based System for ATM Centre

Abstract: The effects of particle size on the bioleaching of iron from naturally occurring silica sand with Aspergillus niger have been studied. Bioleaching tests were carried out with five different particle size fractions of silica sand, +120-212µm, +212-300µm, +300-425µm, +425-650µm and +650-1000µm at room temperature of 30±20C. It was only with the particle size, +120-212µm was the iron content of sand reduced to 0.11% which met the British standard for production of F and G grades of glass products. The experimental data were correlated with the chemical reaction model and ash layer diffusion equations of the Shrinking core model and a mixed kinetic model, which is a combination of both. The chemical reaction equation failed to represent the data; ash layer diffusion accounted for bioleaching of iron between day 21 to day 30. The mixed model largely represented the bioleaching process for the 30 days.
