Abstract: This paper is mainly concerned with the idea of improving on avionics to avoid accidents and calamities in aircraft and air vehicles. Avionics are the software which helps in controlling the operations of the whole and helps in sending and receiving information and vice versa.They are the electronic systems used on aircraft, artificial satellites, and spacecraft. Avionic systems include communications, navigation, the display and management of multiple systems, and the hundreds of systems that are fitted to aircraft to perform individual functions. They can range from simple facilities in the aircraft to sophisticated technologies incorporating many different and disparate components. The idea is that we can enable the aircraft share information among themselves. This idea has profound, if yet fully unrealised, implications in preventing disasters such as the recent tragedy involving the Malaysian airlines. This paper was inspired in part by that.

Abstract: Autism has been described as a condition with a greater number of stress than any other disability. Research that has been accomplished is explored and used as a basis to study new directions required to meet the needs of parents coping with the demands. Raising a child with autism is one of the hardest things a parent will ever have to do.  The present study aimed to assess the awareness and problems faced by parents of children with autism and the objectives of the study were to assess the awareness of parents regarding autism and what different problems they faced while dealing with day to day challenges of child. The self-devised interview schedule was applied on parents in order to collect requisite information from them. Results of the present study indicated that majority parents suffered due to over expenditure on treatment of child due to which other expenses did not meet-up and affect overall family. Parents has been affected in different ways but majority of them stated that mental stress invites many problems in family as their whole mind and time revolves around the disable child. The life of the parents has entirely changed and usually experience social isolation which shattered their mental and physical wellbeing. It is seen from the results that family support and faith on God bring positive attitude among parents and act as a motivation and coping mechanism while dealing with day to day challenges of disable child. Majority of parents were not aware about the autism disorder however only few percent were exposed about the ASD during consultation of child specialist.

Abstract: Process mining is a process management system that analyzes business processes built on event logs. The knowledge is extracted from event logs by using knowledge retrieval techniques. The process mining algorithms are capable of automatically discovering models to provide details of all the events registered in some log traces provided as input. The theory of regions is a valuable tool in process discovery: it aims at learning a formal model (Petri nets) from a set of traces. The main objective of this paper is to propose improved hidden markov model algorithm. The experiment is done based on standard bench mark dataset HELIX and RALIC datasets. The performance of the proposed system is better than existing method.

Abstract: In recent times, increase in the computational speed of graphics hardware has been a many fold. Power afforded by modern graphics cards enables the possibility of simulating complex environmental phenomena, such as atmospheric special effects. The main objective of the paper is to create realistic rain falling effect in real time taking into account the refraction and reflection of raindrop by modeling the world as a cube map, and using environment mapping technique. We observe that the reflection property of a raindrop is also important since it contribute to its visibility in the dark regions. Hence, in this paper we propose a new method that takes into account both refraction and reflection property of raindrop.

Abstract: ESTIDAMA is a green building framework used to improve the environment, energy efficiency and water use in Abu Dhabi. The high rate of water and energy consumption in Abu Dhabi necessitates an investigation into the implementation of Green Building initiatives in Abu Dhabi.  The challenges were to achieve the desired results of reducing energy consumption, reducing water consumption and building comfortable and environmentally-friendly residential areas. All these challenges stimulate to study and investigate the current situation of the implementation of Green Building initiatives in residential building developments in Abu Dhabi. This was conducted by evaluating the Estidama Pearls Rating System to reveal how the Green Building procedures were implemented in residential buildings in Abu Dhabi. The findings suggest how the situation can be improved. A case study was used to illustrate how the Green Building procedures can be embraced for residential buildings. The study also used questionnaires and interviews to evaluate the Green Building procedure. Data was collected from 150 participants and analyzed by using descriptive statistics. The results reflected the prevalence of the implementation of the Green Building procedures in Abu Dhabi and also the current success rate of this implementation in practice. The findings showed that the understanding of Green Building regulations (ESTIDAMA) for Residential Building in Abu Dhabi by construction firms is in the medium range, which means the Green Building procedure (ESTIDAMA) requires more efforts in training the construction firms and increasing their awareness. Furthermore, the implementation of Green Building procedures in residential building faces some obstacles and challenges including a lack of related training courses, a lack of professional expertise in Green Building design firms, a lack of building materials and information, a lack of familiarity with Green Building procedures within the building firms, the costly nature of the Green Building process and a lack of understanding of the Estidama framework and regulation.
