Abstract: The performance of state corporations is of most importance given that these state corporations are used by the government in the realization of its service delivery to its citizens. As a result, the state corporations need well defines strategies to ensure stability in their performance. However, strategy implementation has faced a number of challenges which can only be countered when the full benefit of strategy is appreciated. It is on this background that the study sought to establish the relationship between strategy and financial performance of state corporations with special emphasis on Postbank. The objective of the study was thus to determine the effect of strategy on performance of Postbank. This was achieved by meeting the specific objectives of the study which were to determine the effects of Strategic planning, implementation of strategy and monitoring and evaluation of strategy on financial performance of Post Bank. The study adopted a survey research design. The study therefore targeted the managers since they are involved in strategic decision making. However, for manageability, the study concentrated on the 13 Post Bank branches within coast thus having a population of 33 managers spread among the branch managers, credit managers, operation managers and the regional manager. Since this number is manageable, the study adopted a census approach. The study collected primary and data from the respondents through structured and semi structure questionnaires. The study used emailing for data collection method. The collected data was sorted and tested for consistency and reliability before being subjected to descriptive analysis of mean and standard deviation and a content analysis on percentile followed by a regression analysis the study found high correlation between strategy monitoring and control and performance as opposed to strategy planning and implementation. It however found that state corporations concentrate more on strategy planning and implementation leading to low performance. The study therefore recommended for the state corporation to put more effort on strategy control and monitoring. The study also recommends that management of Postbank should put more energy on control of the strategic plan and monitoring the implementation of the strategic plan in order to enhance performance. Core values and other strategic responsibilities should apply to all levels of the organization to promote the banks image and improve its financial performance.

Abstract: Insurance Companies provide coverage in the form of compensation resulting from loss, damages, injury, treatment or hardship in exchange for premium payments. Insurance as an industry involves pooling funds from many insured entities (known as exposures) to pay for the losses that some may incur. Insurance as a financial intermediary is a commercial enterprise and a major part of the financial services industry. The Growth of insurance companies usually measured through certain Indicators such as the increment percentage in: net profit, total premium written, shareholders equity, total assets, net underwriting income, and net investment. Insurance industry established in UAE at early 70th of the last century (the first insurance company was El Sharjah Company which established at 1970). Now (after almost 40 years) there are more than sixty insurance companies playing a crucial role in both the UAE financial market and society. In this article the net profit and total premium written growth indicators will be investigated for a selected group of insurance companies in UAE that established before 2000. Using descriptive statistical tools, graphical presentations and control charts, Pareto Analysis which is a technique used for decision making based on the Pareto Principle. Investigation of interrelationship between the two factors will be through the calculation of the correlation coefficient and conduct a regression analysis between the profit and the premium written to analyze the expected interrelationship between them to determine to which degree the premium written affect the profit.

Abstract: This paper talks about the recent devaluation of the Chinese Yuan and its impact upon the Indian economy. Since second world war in 1939 when perforce Chinese economy was thrown open to the world after dethroning of the Dowager Empire, the Chinese dragon has emerged as the most powerful Communist Force in the Southeast Asian economy. This paper explores the impact of the cheaper Chinese exports on Balance and Payment of Indian economy. It discusses the various reasons for the slump in the markets because of the devaluation of yuan. In the wake of the rapid industrialization that took place in 1991, the Indian economy has emerged very very resilient and insulated to all kinds of global shocks. This paper discusses the emergence of the new arbitrage opportunities and its impact upon on the Indian economy.

Abstract: The intent of this survey was to conduct an appraisal of the impact of Project Aquila on the Oil and gas industry of Nigeria with particular interest on PEF (M)B. The data were sourced from primary and secondary sources. Analysis of result revealed 70 % of respondents are familiar with the Aquila technology and have explored the opportunities with significant impacts made on the efficacy (55 %) of stakeholders as regards loading and discharge of petroleum products, reduction in complaints has achieved 80 % [35 % of end-users and 40 % of PEF (M) staff] and prompt payment of claims to marketers which hitherto were challenges. The paper submits an all-inclusive synergy among stakeholders, development of hard and soft wares required to drive the technology and human resource development hinged on innovations for better impact. Imperative to improving on these impact made by Project Aquila also is the need to translate the pamphlets to the three (3) major Nigerian languages to facilitate penetration of the technology to the grassroots.

Abstract: With the issuance of Better Buying Power 1.0 and 2.0, open system architectures have become a necessity and a requirement for all new architecture programs.  With this new requirement comes the need to identify key components of the architecture which are worthy of having the technical data rights or licenses acquired by the Department of Defense for the open system architecture.  The need for a method to identify key components has been communicated by multiple authors since the issuance of Better Buying Power.  The benefits of open system architectures have also been thoroughly communicated by multiple authors so are not covered here.  This paper discusses a novel metric framework used to intelligently identifying key components of open system architectures.  The operation of this metric framework is exposed using conceptual illustration.

Abstract: Information technology is prone to constant change which organizations have to monitor, manage and cope with but despite that, there have been contradictions as some studies indicated that improvement in organization performance is as a result of information technological changes; while some studies present evidence obtaining weak or even no link between information technology changes and performance. This has made the research to examine the relationship between information technological changes and organizational performance. In this study the researcher made use of diagnostic research design. The researcher used ordinary least square method in running the regression analysis. The study revealed that there is a significant relationship between information technological change and organizational performance. The research recommends upgrade of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc ICT platform to the latest version of global insurance business solutions software for selling and payment of policy online. Also, introduction of E-business unit to grow their share in the retail market and claims payment system.

Abstract: Government policies on all fronts and sectors of the economy recognize the performance of the private sector in Nigeria and the housing sector is not left out. However, the private sector investor will not just explore housing development based on government policies and prompting as they pause and ask questions as to the performances and the risks inherent. The private sector which is usually profit oriented will naturally invest in the types of residential properties that will ensure optimum financial returns with attention to locations that will guarantee income growth and capital appreciation. Thus, this study has sought to furnish the investor(s) with the investment potentials of residential properties in selected parts of Ado Ekiti by assessing the performance of residential property investments from 2008 to 2014.A survey was undertaken on the rental and capital values of properties in GRA, Ajilosun, Ajebandele, Basiri, Adebayo and Housing Oke Ila based on interviews with some estate managers. From the survey the capital and rental values and returns on investment on, flats in the selected areas were established for the period under study. The findings show that residential property investment in GRA, Adebayo and Ajilosun produce the highest rental and capitalvalue growth. Although the returns on the investments were not at its best in all these areas during the period under study. Residential property investments in Ajebandele, Basiri and Housing Oke Ila showed lower returns. The returns from investment on flats in Basiri and Adebayo showed a remarkable increase in the last three years when compared other areas. Based on these findings it was recommended that investors should look more towards areas yielding highest returns and offering best potential while efforts should be made to boost investment performance through proper management of the property portfolio.

Abstract: The research objective was to study and analyze the relationship among tourism activities (security and macro economics policy, tourism budget policy, development strategy of tourism object destination, development strategy of supporting facilities, programs of stays). Specifically, the research analyzed the degree of either partial or simultant impacts of tourism activities to domestic and foregin tourism visits, the degree of either partial or simultant impacts of domestic and foreign tourism visits on the development of micro, small, middle industries, the degree of either partial or simultant impacts the development of micro, small, middle industries on job creation and regional revenue of tourism sector in DKI Jakarta. The research was conducted in DKI Jakarta in 2009.The research population was of corporation of tourism sector adding up to 350 institution, consisting of 120 travel agencies, 70 hotels and 160 restaurants. The research sample was collected through propotionale stratified random sampling and was determined to 172 corporations (big, middle and small). This research also used secondary data from DKI Jakarta Tourism Agency, Association of Indonesia Tourism & Travel Agency (ASITA), Association of Indonesia Hotel and Restaurant Agency (APHRI) in the form of time series data ranging from since 1988 to 2007.This research used descriptive analysis as well as inferential. The research type was of explanatory research through which path anaysis was applied to explain the degrees of direct and indirrect contribution among variables. To support the efficiency and accurate of data processing, statistical software, SPSS Ver 16.00 was used. The results of this research indicated there was significant relationship among the variables within tourism activities. There was either partial or simultant impact of the tourism activities on foreign and domestic tourism visits very significantly. There was either partial or simultant impact of foreign and domestic tourism visits on the development of micro, small, middle industries very significantly. There was a very signficant impact the development of micro, small, middle industries on job creation and regional revenue.The results of this research brought about implication that there was a need to create good business climate supported by policy and regulation, tourism information centre, human resources quality improvement and the development of micro, small, middle industries capital aid. Besides, the business network development, tourism support participation, improvement of tourism workers welfare and good cooperation among other provincies in Indonesia are some necessary aspects to consider when developing national tuorism industries.

Abstract: The aim of this research was to understand the effect of emotional intelligence, interpersonnal communication and job satisfaction to lecturer loyalty’s Universitas Borobudur Jakarta. It was quantitative research with a survey method. The data were collected through participant observation using questionnaire, observaton, literature study and research report and journal. The analysis data technique using path analysis. The data analysis and interpretation indicates that  (1) the emotional intelligence have positive direct effect to lecturer loyalty’s Universitas Borobudur Jakarta is 0,321; (2) the interpersonnal communication have positive direct effect to lecturer loyalty’s Universitas Borobudur Jakarta is 0,171; and (3) the job satisfaction have positive direct effect to lecturer loyalty’s Universitas Borobudur Jakarta is 0,371; (4) the emotional intelligence have positive direct effect to lecturer job satisfaction’s Universitas Borobudur Jakarta is 0,156; (5) the interpersonnal communication have positive direct effect to lecturer job satisfaction’s Universitas Borobudur Jakarta is 0,509; (6) the emotional intelligence have positive direct effect to lecturer interpersonnal communication Universitas Borobudur Jakarta is 0,513. The finding lead to recommendation to increasing interpersonnal communication by harmonise relationship between lecturer with the openness, positiviness, supportiveness, and equality. It is also recommended lecturer to have emotional intelligence for studying-teaching process with self-consciousness, self-management, motivation, emphaty, and social capability.

Abstract: The Indian stock market is the oldest stock market in Asia. The individual investor plays an important role in the stock market because of the big share of their savings are invested in the country. The investors’ decision is always based on risk and return relationship. An individual invests in the stock market at high risk because he/she tends to look at the higher possible return from the investment. The behavioural finance considers attempt to understand how emotions and cognitive errors influence individual investors’ behaviour. The study attempts to understand the behaviour of individual investors in Indian stock market, specifically their attitude and perception with respect to the stock market. The objective is also to identify the preferred source of information influencing investment decision and to access the psychology of investors in different market situations. The research is descriptive in nature. The sources of information are both primary & secondary. The sample comprises of 150 equity investors of Bharuch District. There will be the positive relationship between market condition and decision making of investors with respect to Indian stock market.

Abstract: The L Corporation launched a technology acquisition and assimilation initiative to implement an industry best-practice Enterprise Service Management System (ESMS), a technology solution that will consolidated the service management and common processes of different companies and business units under a single ticketing platform that can monitor IT Assets and manage software licenses, improve availability, reliability and security of mission critical services, and manage processes through automated workflows that would result to faster turnaround time. Using Posadas’ (2013) Life Cycle for a Technology Procurement Project framework, it can be concluded from this paper that L Corporation’s methodology in technology acquisition and assimilation follows the industry’s standards and best practices. Furthermore, it was established that given the current methodology and processes in place in L Corporation, the organization can be categorized at the Integrative or Investment Capability Level of Posadas’ ladder of firm-level technological capabilities, highlighting the organization’s ability to assemble a complex technological system or commission a production facility on a self-reliant basis. The Socio-centric Perspective was taken into consideration in the technology implementation, where, the key success factors set by the Project Team for the whole initiative including the agreements set forth with the contracted technology vendors were derived from the measure of effectiveness in terms of the organization’s social system functioning.

Abstract:  Life is all about taking moves. Every move can be a key to success if one is motivated. Motivation represents the reason behind people’s desire and actions. Self- motivated also known as intrinsically motivated people get influenced from within, to achieve what they want from life as they have a desire to touch the sky. Their goals are set; mind is focused with clear vision. They try to gain knowledge and seek out new challenges. They are more likely to engage in the task willingly as well as work to improve their skills, which will increase their capabilities. People who carry such attitude live a peaceful life without any difficulty.  Extrinsic motivation comes from influences outside of the individual. Competition is an extrinsic motivator as it encourages the performer to win and beat others. Such people are motivated to work, to get rewards and incentives. Abstract: Customer Relationship Management in banks mainly focuses on customer acquisition, retention and customer development through personalization and customization. The central component of a CRM solution is generally the creation of a single shared customer database – allowing information to be collected once but used many times.

Objective of the research is to identify the most important factor for CRM activity in banks with respect to perceived and expected service quality of customers and efforts made by the bank to full fill it.

A questionnaire consisting of close ended questions, Likert scale and checklist and rank order, and dichotomous questions was designed and tested to capture the customer relationship management practices done by the different banks like, public sector banks, private banks, foreign banks and co-operative banks and to check the customer perception about service quality provided by banks.
