Abstract: Many cases in companies are caused by company activities that have an impact on society and the environment around the company which can affect the company's image to be bad. Disclosure of corporate social responsibility can be carried out by companies to respond to the impacts that arise and get legitimacy from the community and stakeholders. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of operational diversification on the disclosure of corporate social responsibility with foreign ownership, profitability, and company size as control variables. This research was conducted on companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018 which disclose corporate social responsibility in the annual report. The sample is 223 companies with method probability sampling. The data used are secondary data. The data analysis technique used is quantile regression. Based on the results of quantile regression analysis of 0.2, it was found that operational diversification and profitability had a positive and significant effect on the disclosure of corporate social responsibility. Company size has a negative and significant effect on disclosure of corporate social responsibility. Meanwhile, foreign ownership has no effect on disclosure of corporate social responsibility. The results of this study can serve as a guide for companies in expanding the disclosure of corporate social responsibility for the sustainability of the company and as a consideration for stakeholders in making decisions.

Abstract: This research aims to identify Critical Success Factors (CSF) for conducting effective benchmarking. Firstly, the paper defines through a literature review the benchmarking, deference between benchmarking and auditing and concept of critical success factors in this study. At the end, the study list of critical success factors has collected and discussed thru conducting 15 qualitative research studies on local medium firms and agencies and nonprofit organizations to investigate more about the benchmarking critical success factors that helped local GCC firms to approach outstanding benchmarking achievements. The results can help managers and specialists in benchmarking initiatives and projects.

Abstract: There has been growing concern amongst strategic management researchers and practitioners alike to attempt to understand why some firms achieve higher levels of performance than others albeit operating in the same or similar business environments. With the emergence of knowledge-based economy, knowledge is considered as the essential way to create wealth and prosperity and it is the important driving force for business success. The objective of the study was to establish the relationship between knowledge management and performance of retail pharmaceutical firms in Nairobi County, Kenya. The hypotheses was developed and tested based on study objective. The research was anchored on Knowledge-Based View theory. A review of extant literature was carried out where hypothesis was derived from the literature. The study applied positivism philosophy and descriptive research design. Systematic sampling method was applied. The population of the study was all registered retail pharmaceutical firms in Nairobi County. The study sample comprised 116 retail pharmaceutical firms in Nairobi County, Kenya. Primary data was collected using semi-structured questionnaires. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the study showed that knowledge management significantly influences firm performance. The findings in the study concur with theoretical argument from dynamic capabilities theory which presented knowledge management as a fundamental strategic initiative that guarantees firms competitive edge and performance. The study will enable stakeholders and owners of the retail pharmaceutical firms to develop policies that facilitate knowledge management process in their firms and having processes for applying knowledge learned from experience.

Abstract: Personality includes a number of virtuous qualities and traits that reflect in a person as a good impression. It can be said that a person having smart look, attractive face, polite in nature, courteous, eticate, and very practical in life is known as an impressive person. And the process by which individuals attempt to control the impression others form of them is called impression management (IM). IM is required to whom who needs to face an interview, have a rapid promotion in job, enhancement of salary and need to prove himself a good representative in the marketing job. Some of the features of IM are conformity, favors, excuses, apologies, self-promotion, enhancement, flattery, and exemplification etc. These all boost up the impression and play a vital role to make a successful applicant, employee and an administrator in service sector and corporate world.

Abstract: Analysis needs three terms that are closely intertwined; affect, emotions, and moods. Affect is a generic term that covers a broad range of feeling people experience in the form of emotions and moods. Emotions are intense feelings directed at someone or something. Moods are less intense feelings tha emotions and often lack of contextual stimulus. Emotions are reaction to a person and are shown when we are happy, angry and afraid of something. Emotions have short duration and specific reason whether moods have long duration and unclear reason. Moods may be positive and negative and may be affected for hours or days. Moods always change on the basis of time and weather. A few factors are which affect moods:  stress, social activities, sleep, exercise, age, gender etc. Both are natural phenomenon and also a part of human life.

Abstract:  Stress is a mental phenomenon. It is a result of excess responsibility which is not maintained by a human being. It starts from the beginning of life when a child is able to understand after getting sense of humour and ends after death. All human beings are under stress of their liabilities. He/she may be student, teacher, parents, employee, employer, administrator, leader, house wife, cultivator, doctor, engineer et al. Reasons are termed as stressors. It is related to different situations, conditions, weather, environmental, individual, organizational and others. Its consequences are physiological, psychological, and behavioral. It is the main source of creating different types of diseases. Medical science is less effective than yoga that has the power to get it free from stress.

Abstract: Procurement of the essential finance has always been a challenging task for developing country like India due to insufficient capital and scarce resources. The core objective of each business entity is to attain growth with stability. In order to achieve such objectives all the business entities are forced to look for different source of financing. Due to apparent reasons, leasing has emerged as a new source of financing.  This study at a glance presents the growth and development of Lease Financing in Indian Scenario. It also throws light on the concept of lease financing and its evolution in India. It also discuss the pros and cons of lease financing. The study is purely based on the secondary data. Last of all, based on the conclusion of the study, appropriate suggestions are made for sustainable and sturdy expansion of the leasing industry in India.

Abstract: The study mainly aims to pursue the impact of incentives, on employee performance in public and private universities in in order to improve the employee performance.

Simple random sampling was used because this sampling frame was homogeneous. The Principal component analysis was used to establish the number of major components. Mean indices was used in order to attain the average of the respondents’ opinions. The Spearman Correlation analysis was done to investigate the strength and direction of the relationship between the study variables, and this analysis was done for demographics (gender- education-experience).  

The mean incentives indices values were below average, this showed that the employees are not satisfied with the given incentives and this does not enhance and affect the performance positively.

Abstract: Governance has played an important role in many countries progress towards realization of Millennium Development Goals. Governance encompasses the rules, institutions and processes, through which people, organizations and governments work toward common objectives, make decisions, generate legitimate authority and power, and promote and protect human rights. Good governance is essential for any successful business as it affects the performance of that organization, risk appetite as well as innovation ability. It is crucial for an organization to achieve its objective spearhead improvement and not forgetting maintaining of ethical and legal standards in the perception of the various stakeholders. Leadership is critical for the success and survival of all forms of organizations. The role of leadership in organizations is to put structure and order. By facilitating active and inclusive participation, they contribute to the development of citizenship. This study was set to determine the effect of governance on service delivery in the public service coastal region in Kenya. The study was specific to the Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Lamu, Taita Taveta, and Tana River Counties which represent the coastal region of Kenya. The specific objectives were; to establish the effect of intellectual Stimulation on service delivery, to assess the effect of separation of powers on service delivery, to determine the effect of resource allocation on service delivery and to establish the effect of inspirational motivation on service delivery in the public service coastal region in Kenya. The study adopted a descriptive research design. This study focused on the ODPP in Coastal region where 156 employees were the target population. Stratified random sampling was used in the study to select the sample of 112 employees. Primary data was collected through the administration of the questionnaires. The study found positive strong correlation between service delivery and the independent variable. The study found that intellectual stimulation, separation of powers, resource allocation, and inspirational motivation significantly influence Service delivery at the ODPP Coastal region. The study found that all the independent variables explained 69.1% change in service delivery at the ODPP Coastal region. The study recommends good governance to ensure service delivery. The study further recommends similar study to be done to other public institutions to explain the deference in change of service delivery.

Abstract: The agriculture sector is the mainstay of Kenya’s economy contributing 29.3% to the Gross Domestic Product. The contribution of horticulture is key to the economy of Kenya as it accounts to 80% of national employment either formally or informally. The European governments have enacted stringent food safety regulations on horticultural produce as a result of increased consumer concerns over food contamination. Developing country exporters, these upstream changes have meant that produce must be sourced through strictly supervised contracts. Under such contracts developing country exporters impose strict adherence to good agricultural practices including pest and disease management and in addition use of a reliable traceability system. In 2013 Kenyan horticultural exports were subjected to 10% inspection at all ports of entry into the EU because of inability of Kenya to demonstrate existence of an effective national traceability system for horticultural produce. There was also continued detection of pesticide residue in beans and peas beyond the recommended levels leading to a 60% reduction in exports. As a result of that, 50,000 smallholder farmers lost their jobs and incomes due to drop in production of beans and peas for exports. This study aimed at assessing the factors affecting horticulture project implementation of the National Horticulture Traceability System in Kenya, at the Horticulture Crops Directorate. Specifically, the study looked at project planning, project resource mobilization, stakeholders’ involvement, and project monitoring and how they affect implementation of the National Horticulture Traceability System. The study used descriptive survey design, where stratified, purposive and random sampling was used. The targeted population of the study was 388 people who comprise of registered exporters in system; exporters used in pilot of the system; technical and regulation department; IT department, marketing, research and product development; and USAID Project manager. A sample of 197 respondents was drawn from the population and was administered with questionnaire. Data collected was analyzed using SPSS (22). Both descriptive and inferential analysis was conducted. The study found that project planning; resource mobilization; stakeholders’ involvement; and project monitoring had a positive strong correlation with project implementation. The regression analysis also provided positive beta coefficients that were all significant. The study recommends a thorough planning, availability of resources and timely release, involvement of all stakeholders in processes and activities of decision making, and having an effective monitoring framework. The study further recommends a similar study to be done in a different environment to ascertain the results of this study.
