Abstract: brainstorming is not new and has been used in teaching and learning for many years. However, how this technique leads to learning is still vague. In this paper the authors first put forward extended procedural steps to the basic brainstorming technique. The cognitive processes associated with the brainstorming technique include creative and critical thinking and problem solving skills. The authors argue a possible theoretical position for these cognitive processes underlying the procedural steps of the brainstorming technique in the science classroom and how learning could occur during utilization of the brainstorming technique in teaching and learning science. The cognitive theories employed for the underlying theoretical framework are: search for idea in associative memory (siam) theory, piaget’s cognitive development theory, and vygotsky’s socio-cultural theory.

Abstract: Most capital construction projects fail to meet expectations of completing within budgets, on the planned schedule and ensuring quality of work. If projects are not performing effectively or completing successfully, the impact may be felt throughout the organization. The strategic plan designed via the use of projects toward business objectives, becomes ineffective. Various studies have been conducted to examine the factors responsible for the success and/or failures of projects, specifically, the factors that cause project costs overruns. A common finding of most studies is that project management failure, is largely responsible for the failure of projects. While most of the factors cited to be responsible for project failures cannot be underestimated; this paper is of the view that, tackling a central issue that leads to construction costs overruns is of utmost importance. The purpose of this study is thus to determine how effective execution plans, specifically, how a well-developed and implemented “Execution Plan (EP)” can positively impact the success of the construction phase of a project, and hence the success of the entire project.

Title: AN ESSENTIAL INPUT TO THE SUCCESS OF A PROJECT

Abstract: Camellia sinensis (Tea) is one of the most popular nonalcoholic beverages, consumed by over two-thirds of the world's population. The aim of the present study was to establish a co-relation between the polyphenol content and antimicrobial activity of green tea. In the former part of the research, the total polyphenol content of the same varieties was checked and were found to be 19 ± 0.866 %, 5.3 ± 0.288% and 23 ± 0.763% respectively The test organisms used were spoilage organisms from chicken as S.aureus, E.coli, Bacillus spp and Salmonella typhi. The antimicrobial activity of three different specimens of green tea samples viz. Lipton tea (commercial processed tea), Organic India green tea (organic tea) and Tenfu tea (Chinese tea) was checked against the standard. The Lipton tea was found to be most inhibitory towards the organisms and the least inhibitory was Organic India Green tea; their Mean zone of inhibition being 9.5 ± 2.08 mm and 2.25±4.5 mm respectively at 5mg/ml.. the coefficient of correlation(r) was found to be 0.92 which indicated that the antimicrobial activity of green tea is directly proportional to its total polyphenol content.

Abstract: This research project will be a follow up study of the work of Dr Tom Balchin’s from the University of Brunel and his research Identifications of the gifted: the efficacy of teacher nominations. The focus of this research particularly was to concentrate on the twelve schools in the borough council of Haringey, North London in the United Kingdom. The aim of this study was to evaluate and discuss teachers’ perceptions with a level of consistency in which ways students are identified as G & T with several factors influencing their judgements and proposing what should actually be in place in order to assist schools to make provision and enhance support for students who are identified as G & T. This is a qualitative study, designed to reveal the perspective and opinions of teachers and Co-ordinators related to G & T, and to expose significant areas for further research.

Abstract: The concept of bandwidth is central to digital communications, specifically to packet networks, as it relates to the amount of data a link or network path can deliver per unit of time IEEE 802.11-based networks have been able to provide acertain level of quality of service (QoS) by the means of service differentiation, due to the IEEE 802.11e amendment. However, no mechanism or method has been standardized to accurately evaluate the amount of resources remaining on a given channel. Such an evaluation would, however, be a good asset for bandwidth-constrained applications. It is reduce the collision and we want to improve the Throughput value and finally we find the Bandwidth.

In multihop ad hoc networks, such evaluation becomes even more difficult. Consequently, despite the various contributions around this research topic, the estimation of the available bandwidth still represents one of the main issues in this field. We propose an improved mechanism to estimate the available bandwidth in IEEE 802.11-based ad hoc networks. Through simulations, we compare the accuracy of the estimation we propose to the estimation performed by other state-of-the-art QoS protocols.
