Abstract: This study focuses on analyzing the psychological difficulties experienced by pregnant women during inpatient treatment and based on the findings, developing and implementing a small-scale social group work intervention for pregnant women who met the participation criteria. The intervention was designed to address several prominent psychological difficulties identified through the initial assessment. The evaluation of the group intervention focused on members’ preliminary changes in areas directly related to the group’s objectives, including perceived levels of anxiety and stress, their ability to share, recognize and cope with unpleasant emotions as well as their ability to identify and utilize available sources of support.
