Effectiveness of Low-level Laser Therapy in Post Caesarean Wound Healing: A Case Report

Abstract: Caesarean section is a surgical procedure in which the incision is made on the mother’s abdomen and uterus to deliver the products of conception.2 In India, as per District level household survey 3 (DLHS), CS rate is 28.1% in the private sector and in public sector health facilities is of 12%.4 Post LSCS wound infection is not only a foremost cause of prolonged hospital stay but a major cause of the widespread dislike to caesarean delivery in developing countries. We reported case of a female having post caesarean wound gaping. And the effectiveness of low level laser therapy and therapeutic exercises was assessed, after two weeks the patient showed better wound healing and reduction in symptoms of Post natal Depression.
