Kenji Abe, Ed.D.

Abstract: The interactions of both genetic and environmental factors produce serial killers. Environmental factors are especially known to affect how killers express their murderous acts. This paper, a revised and updated version of the paper presented in 2015, attempts to further clarify which types of family backgrounds actually produced serial killers.

Keywords: serial killer, serial murder, mass murder, family environment, childhood background, Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer.
