Abstract: This paper proposes a conceptual solution to encourage sharing economy as a new disruptive economic force nowadays by providing an online digital tool-sharing platform, named ToolBuddy. ToolBuddy is a Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C) business model which aims to provide an online platform for tool-owners and renters for peer-to-peer sharing of their tools and equipment in short term from a nearby location. This platform provides opportunities to rental provider company to feature their tools and equipment. Conducting Literature Review and benchmarking against current world leading companies that provide tool-sharing solutions by utilizing the nine blocks of Business Model Canvas (BMC) and Value Proposition Design Canvas (VPCs) framework, establishing Strategy Canvas of key competitors, identify solution gaps, and establishing the Environmental Map that incorporates megatrends, and Industry 4.0 have been used as the methodology for this paper.

Abstract: This paper proposes a conceptual solution to help people plan their traveling smoothly by providing a variety of travel packages and useful information on traveling through a mobile application platform (MyTravelBuddies). MyTravelBuddies is a Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C) business model which aims to provide a platform for travel agencies to promote their travel packages to the customers as well as a One-Stop Center for the customers to find the best travel packages that suited their budget and travel plan. This system provides a platform for advertising travel package only, whereas the process of the transaction occurs outside this system. Nine blocks of Business Model Canvas (BMC) framework, Literature Review, strategy canvas, value proposition design canvas (VPC), environmental map and conducting interview/survey with potential customers to validate BMC/VPC have been used as the methodologies for this paper.

Abstract: The paper represents an application of ‘5S’ technology in one of the Manufacturing Industries. This paper aims to determine performance factors and characteristics in industrial organizations and identifying the effectiveness of 5S implementation. ‘5S’ in simple terms is a Japanese technique consisting of five ‘S’ terms namely Seiri (sorting), Seiton (set in order), Seiso (shine), Seiketsu (standardize) and Shitsuke (sustain) having a deep sense for managing the work place. The aim of the implementation of ‘5S’ in the organization is to enhance the productivity, safety, efficiency through effective workplace management. The need for the implementation of ‘5S’ in the organization came into existence due to unorganized work-stations, uncomfortable working environment and the excessive wastes in the company. Hence to get rid-off of the above factors, there was an urgent need for the successive implementation of ‘5S’ in the organization. During Implementation of 5-S Various Kaizen also being done.

Abstract: The emergence of computers with all types of digital software and internet technology, appropriate information and health information systems are seen as indispensable to strengthen the health system in developing countries and pursuing the millennium development goals. It is therefore relevant to do away with the manual recording of records and move to the digitization of health records for easy accessibility, storage and retrieval. This study seeks to assess the readiness of Mampong-Ashanti Municipal hospital on the digitization of health records. A descriptive cross sectional survey was used to assess the readiness of Mampong-Ashanti Municipal hospital on the digitization of health records. A sample size of 90 correspondents was used. A well-structured interview questionnaire with both close ended and open-ended questions were used for the data collection. Data collected was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22.0 and Microsoft Excel. Results of the study showed that much time was spent on the creation, storage and retrieval of health records of patients and the staff of Mampong-Ashanti Municipal hospital have shown readiness in adopting and usage of computer and its software to create, store and retrieve health records of patients. The study recommends that health institutions in Ghana need to have ICT departments to aid them in their service delivery.

Title: Assessing the Readiness of the Digitization of Health Records: A Case of a Municipal Hospital in Ghana

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the impact of texting on the written communication skills of college students of the Iloilo Science and Technology University –Dumangas Campus. The researcher used the self-made questionnaire in the gathering of data. .This study uses the quantitative method in the conduct of the survey and in the interpretation of the data.Results of the study revealed that the highest percentage of texters are ages 19 and below. This implies that teenagers constitute the great number of cell phone users. The results also revealed that the average frequency done by students in a day has no bearing on their spelling performance. Test results reveal that students performance is higher this and texting has no impact on them. Another findings revealed that only 1 to 10 persons have the highest frequency or persons texted in a day. This implies that frequent texters just connect to their friends and families for a purpose. Further results revealed that there is no significant relationship between the extent of texting and the student performance in their sentence structure. This also proved that student’s ability in writing and communication is given and texting have no impact on them.

Abstract: In this the researcher aim is to know and calculate the Teacher performance evaluation tool by using opinion mining with sentiment analysis. The study may identify positive and negative feedback of teachers on the basis of student feedback. However identifying sentiment is challenging. Sentiment analysis need classifying and keeping them in record as per there category. Thus, on the basis of student feedback the school administrators and educators will be more aware about the sentiments and concerns of the students.

Abstract: Electronic Health (eHealth) is the transfer of health related resources and health care by electronic means. Considering the fact that, the use of eHealth is continuously being integrated into our healthcare services rendered to patients, it was included in the Ghana National eHealth Strategy that, all health training institutions will include basic practical ICT skills that will equip graduates to be conversant with tools, equipment and systems that support eHealth. The purpose of the study is to examine the knowledge and perception of nursing students towards the use of eHealth and also to evaluate how skilful the student nurse is with respect to the use of eHealth in the delivery of healthcare treatment record keeping. A quantitative descriptive cross-sectional survey design was employed. The study was conducted in the department of nursing of Presbyterian University College, Asante-Akyem Campus located at Agogo in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. A questionnaire was administered to 254 nursing students randomly selected from different levels and used the statistical Package for Social Sciences version 20.0 for the analysis of the collected data. The findings depict that 85% of students had heard about eHealth, 73% had fair knowledge in eHealth. It was also noted that majority had been exposed to eHealth in the education and clinical. However, most students (56.5%) considered themselves not to be competent in eHealth practices. It is highly recommended that the educational sector inculcate eHealth into the curriculum for the integration of IT solutions into healthcare to flow successfully.

Abstract: In order to solve the problem of the existing security risks of electronic password lock, the article is designed to combine electronic code lock and Internet of Things technology to form an electronic code lock based on IOT. The electronic code lock is based on FPGA, the real-time acquisition and transmission of network video is realized based on Da Vinci technology TMS320DM368 processor hardware platform. The design of the password lock in addition to a lock, unlock, clear, password reset, the system alarm function, in the two consecutive input password error, will trigger the network video capture transmission system, and notify the user password lock malicious intentions, when the third password input error, the password lock into the deadlock and alarm.

Abstract: Big Data is one of the key technological developments that is revolutionising the way high volumes of data are processed to identify meaningful patterns and derive useful information for efficient decision making. One of the segments that has witnessed an exponential growth of data generation and consequently applications of Big Data consists of the financial systems. There is a vast growth in the amount of data generation which has necessitated the use of Big Data. A majority of the companies in the financial sector have already begun using this technological tool for efficient management of large volumes of data generated through their operations and processes. This paper evaluates the applications of Big Data in the financial systems and analyses the challenges and opportunities. Several factors such as security and data management in terms of challenges, and real time information generation and decision making support as opportunities are discussed. Based on the discussion it is determined that despite the challenges, the opportunities offered by Big Data are much more and financial systems, especially those deployed by the companies in the financial sector can benefit immensely. However, for the financial systems to become more robust, it is critical that the challenges are addressed efficiently while capitalising on the opportunities.

Abstract: This study examines symbol design for effective identification and utilization of road transportation facilities in Owo town. The study utilized questionnaire attached-with derived symbols for respondents to attached meaning. The questionnaires were later analyzed using tables and percentages. To also apply the symbols obtained from the respondents on a digital street guide of Owo. It was revealed that road transporters preferred derived symbols for road facilities on maps to other symbols as it scored above 50%. Based on the findings recommendations were made.
