Abstract: The main current focus of supply chain management (SCM) world-wide is the creation of long-term, mutually beneficial relationships between a company and other participants in the supply chain. Strategic partnerships are a key factor in the effectiveness of the business of a company as a whole. The study intended to determine the influence of third party and fourth party logistic outsourcing on the performance of sugar manufacturing firms in western region. The study used both primary and secondary data collection instruments. Primary instruments included the use of structured and unstructured questionnaires. Secondary instruments involved acquiring information from the already existing records from the sugar manufacturing firms and any other public available information that is already documented. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used in data analysis using SPSS version 20 software. Karl Pearson’s zero order coefficient of correlation (Pearson Product Moment Correlation or simple correlation) was used to determine the direction and strength of the relationship between logistic outsourcing and performance of sugar manufacturing firms in western region.  Simple regression analysis was used to model the relationship between logistic outsourcing and performance of sugar manufacturing firms. The relationship between logistic outsourcing and the performance of sugar manufacturing firms follow a regression model of the nature P= α + β₁ LOS + e. The findings were presented using tables and crossbar tabulations. The outcome was positive correlation between logistic outsourcing and performance of sugar manufacturing firms. The findings are of importance to the Government of Kenya, shareholders, employees and customers of sugar manufacturing firms. Further, the findings form a basis of future research by interested parties in future.

Abstract: India is one of the fastest growing economy throughout the world. The telecom sector and its services have been recognized as an important tool for socio-economic development for a nation. The mobile phone sector in India has become very popular nowadays. Its growth is so prodigious that it has crossed most of the industries. The reason for the growth of this sector is consumer involvement as a human being spends most of his time interacting with others. The consumer buying preferences are rapidly changing and this result to change in the customer behaviour for a product. The study revealed that favourite feature in smartphone for middle-aged consumers is internet browsing. . It is found that middle-aged consumers are influenced by advertisement on the internet while purchasing smartphone.

Abstract:  Every company is required to make consumers feel satisfied by providing better services to maintain their market position. This research was conducted to explain the effect of price, quality and brand image on the customer satisfaction of Mie Kober Renon. 114 people were used as sample, with purposive sampling. Multiple linear regression was used. The results of the study show that price, quality, and brand image simultaneously have positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, through price, good service quality and brand image can increase customer satisfaction. Price has positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Continuous price compatibility can increase customer satisfaction. Service quality has  positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction where the better the service quality will be able to increase customer satisfaction. Brand image has positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction where the better the brand image will be able to increase customer satisfaction.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between marketing and brand value creation to achieve the ability of providing superior value to customers is a prerequisite when trying to establish and maintain long‐term customer relationships. Stresses the fact that the underlying construct of customer satisfaction is more than a perception of the quality received.  Specifically focused on Small Businesses owned by youth in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The main objectives were to discuss the important of value in brand and businesses to customers, to highlight the most affective part of marketing strategy (product, price, place and promotion), to highlight strategies business owners use to create value based in customer needs and finally to expand the awareness of small investors in business failures It also investigates the effects of price and promotion on the brand spread, to have clear view of the problem to provide  customer satisfaction and needs.

It is clear in our chapter explaining the brand structure of the research methodology and explaining research design, population, and sampling as well as data collection procedure, variables and measurements data analytical procedure and finally we concluded that in a summery. The selected method has been developed for the study and focused on specific groups and tested for the reliability and validity of the experiments. In general The major findings were the four hypotheses and previous study’s  represented in this study, the study provided clear information and valuable insights of important elements of marketing strategy and their positive impact on brand value creation which include (product, price, place, promotion), and identified how the brand value can be achieved.

There are few limitations that were experienced during gathering of data and information. In previous study’s findings focused in ability to provide superior value to customers is a prerequisite when trying to establish and maintain long‐term customer relationships.

Abstract: Indian population comprises approximately one sixth of the world’s population. Among this, ten percent of the population possesses a large proportion of the total wealth of India. There is a wide gap exists between the rich and the poor in India. During the past few years, India has demonstrated a welcome willingness to innovate and to think afresh about financial services to alleviate poverty. The poverty reduction has become the object of unprecedented attention at national and international level. The Scheme of Micro-finance has been found as an effective instrument for lifting the poor above the level of poverty by providing them increased self-employment opportunities and making them credit worthy. Thus the concept of micro finance gained growing recognition as an effective tool in improving the quality of life and living standards of poor people. This paper attempts to provide a critical appraisal of the debate on the effectiveness of microfinance as a universal poverty reduction tool. It argues that while microfinance has developed some innovative management and business strategies, its impact on poverty reduction remains in doubt. Microfinance, however, certainly plays an important role in providing safety-net and consumption smoothening.

Abstract: The universal benefits of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for developing economies are quite renowned. Studies demonstrate that FDI enables human capital formation, improves international trade integration, results in technology spillovers, improves enterprise development and helps create a more competitive business environment. The approach to the establishment of these economic zones is also undergoing major change in both form and function, whereby the conventional Export Processing Zones (EPZs) are seemingly giving way to SEZ. The idea is that through the establishment of integrated infrastructure, provision of incentives for and removal of barriers to business, these localised zones will unlock the economic potential of the select sectors and attract more investment. In September 2015, the incumbent president of Kenya, H.E Uhuru Kenyatta, signed the SEZ Act. This has seen the Government set up SEZ designated areas in Eldoret, Athi River, Naivasha, Kisumu, Mombasa, Nairobi and Lamu, to fast-track manufacturing of various products in these locations. The extent to which FDI in Special Economic Zones has succeeded or will potentially succeed in catalysing economic growth in Kenya is what this paper has sought to explore.

Abstract: Inclusive education is a concept that is gaining attention all over the world. Inclusion is a term which expresses commitment to educate each child to the maximum extent possible. No student is excluded from or discriminated within education on the ground of race, color, sex, language and disability. The right to a good life is natural for all and cannot be barred due to some deformity or suffering. The concept of inclusive education and the principles of Special Education Needs, Intellectual Disability have been reviewed and the findings are present in the relevant chapters. Main objective of the research was to study the concept of inclusive classroom with reference to evaluation methods for the SEN students. Despite the use of a reasonable number of quantitative measures it may be noted that the quantitative results are more directional in nature. The analysis has been planned in terms of descriptive analysis, inferential analysis and finer data analysis. Profile information is the input for descriptive analysis, whereas rest of the information is an input for inferential and finer data analysis.

Abstract: The study helps us to realize that changing the teacher’s attitude for handling and guiding the SEN children is of paramount importance Inclusive education is a concept that is gaining attention all over the world. After the World Conference on Special Education Needs in Salamanca in 1990s, inclusion become the magic word in the educational field. Our government has implemented the RTE (Right to Education Act) and the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan which states that no school can deny the right to education to any child regardless of disability. So All individuals should be treated equally and be given an equal opportunity. The study aims to point out the effect such teacher attitude has in an Inclusive classroom. There is an urgent need to rectify such attitude to have true inclusion. The role of evaluation in assessing and analyzing the inclusive classrooms is also an important factor in judging the success of inclusive education. Inclusive education is built around the goals and ideologies of the social model. study covers key variables like inclusive education and evaluation methods for students, Blooms Taxonomy etc. In terms of context, the study would be carried with reference to CBSE students Pune studying in classes VIth, VIIth and VIIIth. Equal access to education empowers people with disabilities to be independent and contributive, helpful members of an inclusive, barrier-free society.

Abstract: This study examines the guest satisfaction of Hotel Monticello in Tagaytay City. These addresses the service quality of having unsatisfied guest that may lead to have bad reputation to the hotel and not being able to have the expected amount of satisfied guest. The researchers used SERVQUAL model by A. Parasuraman, V. Zeithaml and L. Berry that is designed to measure service quality to know the satisfaction of the guests along the five dimensions of service quality which is the RATER, namely Reliability, Assurance, Tangibles, Empathy, and Responsiveness. The researchers used both quantitative and qualitative research design and in selecting the respondents for this study the researchers used quota sampling. The data gathering that is used is survey questionnaires with an open-ended question. The statistical methods that are used in this study is frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, ANOVA, and T-test on the indicated statement of the problem. Through P-value, the significance difference in the level of satisfaction of the respondents were identified. It was found that marital status is the only significant regarding of the demographic profile of the respondents. The marital status has a big impact in determining the level of satisfaction towards the guests. The guest satisfaction program will help the Hotel Monticello to improve its products, facilities, and services that the hotel offers.

Abstract:  The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of transformational leadership on job satisfaction, to determine the effect of transformational leadership on organizational commitment, to determine the effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment, and to determine the role of job satisfaction in mediating the effect of transformational leadership on organizational commitment. This research was conducted at the Aston Hotel Canggu. The number of samples used in this study is 62 people, using the saturated sample method (census), which uses the entire population as a sample. Data analyzed using Path Analysis techniques. The results showed that transformational leadership had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction at Aston Hotel Canggu, transformational leadership had a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, and job satisfaction positively and significantly mediated transformational leadership towards commitment at the Aston Hotel Canggu.

Abstract: This study aimed at investigating the influence of employee empowerment on academic performance of secondary schools in Ugenya Sub-County. The study utilized descriptive research design on a population of 434 respondents from 31 secondary schools in Ugenya.  Stratified sampling was used to determine the sample size which was expected to be 84 teachers in the 8 selected secondary schools in Ugenya sub-county. This included Principals, Deputies, heads of departments, senior teachers and assistant teachers. The researcher used a questionnaire that comprised of open and closed ended questions. The questionnaire was piloted for validity and reliability. Data analysis and presentation used descriptive and inferential statistics and presentation done using tables, pie charts and figures. The study concluded that employee empowerment is a key determinant to excellence in academic performance. The findings exposed a strong positive relationship between empowered employees (teachers and support staffs) and high academic performance. A unit increase in empowerment resulted into units increase in academic performance. Therefore, empowerment is a key determinant of good academic performance. The study recommended that the government of Kenya through the Ministry of Education should put in place measures to enhance TQM practices in the education sector, if quality education is to be realized; particularly in all institutions of learning: Private or Public.

Abstract: Construction projects outsourced by various Kenya Urban Roads Authority contractors are facing main difficulties. This is due to the statistics showing that projects that have been contracted over the previous 5 years have not been finished within the given constraints, lacking service quality and thus increasing the expenses associated. The study aimed at determining the impact of contractor competence on road construction projects implementation. This study was conducted through a descriptive design. From 2013 to 2017, the target population was road building projects under the Kenya Urban Roads Authority in which five projects were studied. 60 participants were the target. A census was conducted of 60 participants. Questionnaires were given to all participants. Statistics of description and regression were used to analyse quantitative data. The established a positive relationship between contractor competence and implementation of projects. It was concluded that contracts are obviously negotiated with all contracts at the service level that have been established and the choice of contractors is based on abilities, reliability and credibility. The study recommends that the contractor’s credibility be sought first before the organisation concludes a contract with the contractor.

Abstract: The way we work in our fast-paced world is quickly changing. Skilled but unemployed Kenyans are seeking and finding work on online platforms on contract and full – time basis. They are part of virtual teams that rely heavily on collaborative software applications to work. Their performance is gauged by how they meet project goals within the set costs, time and scope. Unfortunately, some teams are unable to meet the goals and this compromises their performance. This is the problem addressed in this study by investigating the effects risk management have on the performance of virtual project teams in Kenya. The research design was descriptive. The target population was 574 Kenyans who are virtual freelancers on the Upwork Global Incorporated platform. Using the simple random sampling, the researcher got a sample of 172. A semi structured questionnaire was used to collect primary and secondary data. The data was then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings of the established that ill prepared team members and risk management were the risk management variables that had an effect on virtual project teams in Kenya. Based on these conclusions, the researcher recommended that organizations identify the project strategy that works best for them and build their virtual team around it. This would ensure that it would be a high performance team. Also recommended was training for virtual project managers on virtual project team management; the development and application of risk assessment and management plans; and remote collaboration tools.

Abstract: Non-performing assets has been recognized as one of the major cause of irritation of the banking sector of India. Many Studies identified NPA as the main reasons for the reduced profitability of the commercial banks in India. Almost all the banks in India are facing the problems of NPA. The amounts of NPA as well as its reasons differ from sector to sector, bank to bank and also within the different branch of a Bank. The Present study focuses on NPA position of SBI, Sivasagar Branch over a period of 5 years. The present study shows that the Branch has achieved efficiency in maintaining its Loans asset which results in decline of NPA over the Period. The Branch has failed to recover its NPA resulting in increasing of loss asset over the period. Overall the study concludes that in all the sectors, the Branch is achieving efficiency by reducing its NPA over the periods expect the agricultural sector which remained a matter of concern for the Branch.

Abstract: This study tries to provide an overall evaluation about the reality of excellence practices among the NPOs in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia based on the model of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) as a scale for measuring excellence practices. The research also investigated if there is a significant relationship between two selected independent variables, which are organization age and size on the excellence practices among NPOs in KSA. The methodology used in the study is quantitative method and SPSS was used to analyze the results. The result of the study indicates the mean percentage for excellence practices are 66.5% for the respondents of the questionnaire and there was no evidence that there is significant relationship between organization age and size on the excellence practices among NPOs in KSA. Finally, based on research findings, theoretical and practical implications were discussed and limitations and future research were highlighted.
