Abstract: Commercial banks remain central in financial intermediation in Uzbekistan due to capital market and non-bank institutions. State-owned commercial banks are dominant players in financial intermediation. This paper is focused on analysis of state-owned commercial banks based on development and social views. The standard view is that state-owned commercial banks have lower profitability despite government support due to their development and social mandate. The analysis in this paper suggested that while they have lower profitability, they have significantly contributed to financial and economic development.

Abstract: Though the adversity immigrants and minorities have had in society since the genesis of time, the impact of such inequality of privileges in the United States is preposterous. The fact that families are struggling to provide food on their tables, worrying about every penny they earn and spend, and trying to find the path to success. The minority population tends to stay at an unstable level of wealth, while the rich become wealthier through generations. The extreme growth of hate and discrimination towards immigrant and minority families has created disproportionality in the United States. Not only does this add additional adversity for families of lower socioeconomic status, but it also creates a hierarchy in society. Hierarchy in society can lead to unbalanced and unjust power that can ruin nations. These families undergo newcomers’ denial of authentic foods, difficulty adapting to American culture, and torturing racism.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the struggles of finding an opportunity to succeed as an immigrant and minority family/individual. Furthermore, this paper explores the influence of a customer review application called Yelp, illustrating how their algorithms were designed to unfairly force disadvantages on small businesses. In this paper, I will go over the personal experiences of Asian immigrants and how apps like Yelp, despite being designed to give businesses greater visibility, can negatively impact the success outcomes of Asian-owned businesses in the United States.

This paper aims to inform people worldwide about the difficulty in adapting to a new environment and finding success through small businesses, even with the manipulations of “supportive” applications.

Illustrating the authentic scenes and scenarios of what adversities come in the way of these families/ individuals. Moreover, highlights the recent decline in the support given to minority and immigrant-owned businesses in the United States.

Abstract:  The traditional method of marketing a product has limitations, which is the reason digital marketing has become popular. Digital marketing is a means of marketing a product through the internet, and as a result, mukbang has grown in popularity. Mukbang are recordings of individuals eating food in front of a camera.

In this study, which was done among DLSU-D hotel management students, it was discovered using the survey that watching mukbang is likely to influence its viewers. The results of their daily social media use revealed that the majority of them get exposure to mukbang once a week. As a result, viewers are interested in what they see on their screens, and mukbang is one of the ways to reach its potential customers.

Abstract: The aim of this study was to obtain a spatial map of the land potential and productivity of Kasturi-type tobacco in West Lombok Regency, Indonesia. To achieve the objectives of the research, it was carried out by applying a combination of survey, observation, and interview methods. Surveys to obtain data on the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil, then analysis was carried out in the edaphology laboratory. Observations to obtain agro-climatological data and interviews to obtain data on labor requirements. The collected primary and secondary data were compared to tobacco plant growth and development conditions overlaid on the GPS map to produce a spatial map of tobacco plant suitability and potential productivity. The suitability of land for the development of tobacco plants is distributed in six districts, namely Kediri District, Labuapi District, Kuripan District, Gerung District, Lembar District, and Sekotong District with a potential area of 12,174.5 ha, while the actual area is 553.5 ha. The productivity of tobacco cultivation is from 870 kg/ha to 1,386 kg/ha and the minimum production potential is 12,191.794 tons/year.

Abstract: Cost was adapted before using manual quantity surveying by spreadsheet that estimator take the quantity from the 2D drawing and input data manually. With emerging Building Information Modelling (BIM) in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. The concepts has changed then and BIM became essential ruler in all phases of construction. allows project participants to design, analyse BIM, sequence, and explore entire project model in contrast to CAD drawing, the object in BIM has also physical properties that drive object.

Traditional cost methods have been discussed and then BIM tools to show how it saved a lot of expected errors and time along with third application have been introduced with an emphasis on construction cost estimating and its relation to cost control without skipping 4D of scheduling as important key in decreasing or increasing the cost. Two approaches for 4D scheduling in BIM. For the cost estimating capability, two  available methods have been discussed: i) list from the BIM tool to the estimating software such as MS Excel, ii) link BIM components to estimating software, a case study is provided to demonstrates the cost estimating processes in BIM based on the BIM model of a three-story training facility. The integrated cost database that builds with the model is the main key factor for more accurate estimate and the purpose of this research is to improve the workflow of cost estimation and cost control make it as a base for other researcher to work based on.

Abstract: Organizational change is an integral part of contemporary business operations, and effective change management is essential for ensuring organizational success. This study aimed to explore the relationship between adaptive management techniques and their effects on employee retention and productivity during organizational change. A comparative case study approach was employed, analyzing various adaptive management techniques, including participative change management, directive change management, coaching and mentoring, and communication and transparency. Findings from the study highlighted the importance of tailoring change management strategies to the organizational context and the specific nature of the change. Participative decision-making, clear communication, and targeted coaching and mentoring were found to positively influence employee retention and productivity during change. The study's results underscore the significance of adaptive management techniques in successfully navigating organizational change and provide valuable insights for organizations seeking to minimize employee turnover and maintain productivity. Future research could explore the generalizability of the findings across a broader range of organizations, industries, and countries, as well as investigate the causal relationships between change management strategies and employee outcomes.

Abstract: This article investigates the influence of innovative approaches to corporate social responsibility (CSR) on brand image and stakeholder satisfaction. With the growing importance of CSR in today's business environment, companies are increasingly seeking novel strategies to address social and environmental challenges, while enhancing their brand image and stakeholder relationships. Through a comprehensive literature review, the article identifies innovative CSR approaches, such as green and sustainable initiatives, inclusive employment and diversity promotion, community engagement, and supply chain transparency. The methodology encompasses qualitative and quantitative research designs, including interviews, surveys, and content analysis of CSR reports. The analysis reveals that innovative CSR approaches positively impact brand image and stakeholder satisfaction, despite challenges and limitations, such as implementation barriers and financial constraints. Abstract: This study explores the impact of emotionally intelligent leadership on organizational performance and employee engagement. Emotional intelligence (EI), encompassing self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management, has been increasingly recognized as a critical factor in effective leadership. The present study investigates the relationship between leaders' EI and organizational performance and employee engagement, as well as the specific dimensions of EI that contribute to these outcomes. Using a diverse sample of organizations and industries, multiple regression analysis revealed significant positive associations between leaders' EI and both organizational performance and employee engagement. Furthermore, all four dimensions of EI were significantly related to these outcomes. The findings suggest that emotionally intelligent leaders are associated with better organizational performance and higher employee engagement, highlighting the importance of developing EI skills in leaders. The results have implications for organizations seeking to improve their performance and enhance employee engagement by investing in the development of leaders' emotional intelligence. Future research should examine the mechanisms through which EI influences these outcomes and investigate potential moderating factors such as organizational culture, leadership style, and industry context.

Abstract: The construction industry in Tanzania and the world at large faces more risks and uncertainty than many other sectors. The process of project execution from initial investment appraisal, completion and final use is complex, and involves time-consuming ground investigations, design and production processes. These processes are highly specialized and are spearheaded by qualified and licensed civil engineering consultants. Each of the processes in construction carries with it a measure of risk factors ranging from cost overruns, quality of the final product, litigations, time overruns, and riots, among others. Thus, the main objective of this study was to determine the effect of project risk management practices on construction projects in Mara Region Tanzania. The specific objective was to examine effect of risk identification practices, determine effect of risk monitoring and control practices and to establish effect of risk response practices on performance of consulting civil engineers. The study focuses on registered consulting civil engineers practicing in Mara Region Tanzania either as individual consultants or as registered engineering firms. The study was informed by prospect theory and enterprise risk management theory. The study employed descriptive cross-sectional study. The study targeted 175 registered consulting civil engineers in in Mara Region Tanzania. Simple Random sampling was used to select a representative sample consulting civil engineers practicing Arusha for purposes of this research. Use of questionnaires collected the research data. Use of SPSS version 23 analyzed data. Data analysis was done by use of descriptive statistics including means, standard deviation, percentages and frequency tables and inferential statistics with multiple regression analysis. This study will be significant to engineering fraternity, the general public, engineering students and the consulting engineering firms’ regulators as it will offer valuable contributions from both a theoretical and practical perspective. The findings show that risk identification does not have a significant effect on project performance, β1= 0.012, p = 0.777. Furthermore, risk monitoring has a positive and significant effect on project performance, β2= 0.150, p = 0.018. There is need to further enhance the processes of risk identification by strengthening already existing practices and investing more in risk identification resources. There is more need for more investment in control systems and ensure they are effective and stakeholder participation in decision making.

Abstract: World Food Programme, feeding projects have been designed for various communities living in Kenya. Feeding programs in the slums were initiated to increase school attendance by providing food for learners in public schools. However, the sustainability of such programs remains a challenge. There were challenges with the continuity of the programme as the government is yet to release funds to cover the counties that previously benefited from the programme. The aim of this research was to explore the project management practices and sustainability of projects funded by the World food program in Nairobi County, Kibra constituency. The specific objectives were to determine how project management, stakeholder need assessment, cost management, quality management, and monitoring and evaluation management affect the sustainability of World Food Programme sponsored projects in Kenya. The survey was anchored on the theories of Change, Empowerment, and Institutional. A regression model was utilized to examine the effect of stakeholder’s assessment, cost management, quality management and, monitoring and evaluation management on sustainability of projects under the study. Regression result shows that project management practices had a positive significant impact on the project sustainability of funded projects. The study concludes that the project management practices adopted have been effective in Kibera constituency. The study recommends that the organizations should pay keen attention to project cost management practices of the projects. Secondly, the study recommends that project quality management practices should be enhanced. Lastly, the study recommends that a monitoring committee should be established to review the projects on regular basis.

Abstract: This research aims to compare and contrast the Fédération Internationale des Ingénieurs-Conseils (FIDIC) Conditions of Contract for Construction designed by the Employer (1999 – The Red Book) and Administrative Law 182 for the year 2018 in Egypt, with a focus on variations, delay damages, delayed payments, delayed drawings or instructions, adjustment of prices, and dealing with exceptional circumstances such as COVID-19. By analyzing these critical issues, the research provides new insights into how contracts in these conditions can be better administered. The research methodology is based on a descriptive statistics approach, allowing readers to comprehend the conflicting clauses and/or articles of the aforementioned concerns. Overall, this research provides valuable contributions to the field of construction contracts and highlights the need for greater consistency and clarity in contract drafting and administration.

Abstract: The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of international accounting standards on transparency and accountability in Tanzanian public sector organizations. Data was gathered from the ministry of finance of the state of Anambra. The study was conducted using a statistical test tool known as the Wilcoxon. The results of the study revealed that the implementation of international accounting guidelines has significantly increased the level of transparency and accountability within Tanzanian public sector entities. This is expected to improve the country's financial reporting system and provide more meaningful data to decision-makers. Although the study acknowledges that the implementation of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) has increased the level of transparency in Tanzanian public sector organizations, it also states that this will improve the country's overall financial reporting system. The study also noted that the implementation of international accounting standards has increased the level of accountability in Tanzanian public sector organizations. It recommended that the country's officials adopt effective measures to reduce the level of corruption and improve the country's financial reporting system. The federal government should ensure that the implementation of IPSAS is carried out in order to improve the level of transparency and accountability in Tanzanian public sector organizations.
