Abstract: This study is focused on the factors leading the PAG Church perform poorly in the development of education as compared to other Church denominations in the County. The research objectives were: to find out how the church has involved itself in socio-economic activities, factors for its minimal perfomance in the development of education and, how its teachings and beliefs have impacted on education development. The study was justified by the fact that the (PAG) church has been in the county long enough a period spanning almost a century just like the other denominations such as SDA, Roman Catholic and Lutheran, but there has not been any study done to find out the factors to that effect. The researcher used the theory of liberation/ salvation as expounded by Mugambi (1990) as a guide to this study. Qualitative and quantitative methods were used for data analysis. The target population of 115 respondents was selected to participate in this study. The result showed that PAG has performed   minimally on development of education as well as socio economic activities in the Nyamira County.

Abstract: Women's liberation is an investigation into the communications of imperialism with sex, country, class, race, and sexualities in various settings of ladies' lives. Postcolonial women's liberation or the 'Third World woman's rights' started as an evaluate of standards in the Western women's activist scholars, examining the depiction of ladies in the writing and society of the colonized nations as minimized and mistreated ones in each part of life, to be specific, social, religious, political, financial, social, lawful and masterful, such that they are considered as second rate creatures. Postcolonial women's liberation pronounces that a slant towards homogenizing and universalizing ladies by concentrating solely on the association of ladies in Western way of life is an inconsiderate endeavor, on the grounds that for this situation, they are just characterized by their sex and not by social class, race, emotions, ethnicity, sexual inclinations, and setting of the colonized domains. Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns portrays the social, social, and political structures that bolster the depreciation, corruption, and savagery persisted by the female characters in the novel. From a postcolonial feministic viewpoint, this paper endeavors to explore the predicaments of ladies, especially the two noteworthy characters of the novel, Mariam and Laila, which are authorized on them through the patriarchal culture and benchmarks.

Abstract: The emergence of the concept of small states in contemporary geoeconomics is connected with the collapse of Soviet Union and end of the Cold War.  Throughout history global economic climate was usually shaped by powerful countries. The article considers the factors of regional economic integration in the Caucasus.  geo-economic features of Georgia are studied. Then Based on the main indicators of the level of geo-economic activity of As of  2016,  features of Georgia are studied. At the end of the article, conclusions are drawn. According to the author, to stabilize the economic situation in the South Caucasus the more advisable way is to start active co-operation between neighbors – Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan and think about opportunity how to joint economically dialogue with the main geo-economic players in the region. The study is of empirical character, and methodologically is thought in the category of qualitative studies; the basic methodological approach is the case-study method.

Abstract: Somewhat because of globalization, for organizations it is valuable to use volumes of merchandise and ventures purchased through a focal sourcing substance. A focused supply chain is a remarkable supply chain, containing exceptional connections and coordinated efforts that furnish a customer with more enhanced a lesser cost than a contender. Top management support is a specialized enhancement, however frames an imperative connection between the diverse gatherings in the supply chain. In this study on the role of top management support in supply chain performance, DHL limited was used as the case study; this was due to its long term experience and global nature in logistics operations. The literature review was undertaken to establish the research gap which existed in the area of study. It is from the literature review that the specific objective was generated e.g. top management support, in supply chain performance. The specific objective was to be used to design methodology. The study used survey as a method of collecting data. The stratified random sampling was used during the exercise. In the study the target population of 99 was considered and a representative sample size of 50 was found to be significant to the study. This study analyzed the role of top management support through the net chain concept, aiming to discuss how its position in the supply chain alters all others actors behavior.

Abstract: This study addresses the supply chain management in its practical dimensions, the organizations objectives as per the missions and goals achieved in establishing the role of ICT integration in supply chain performance in distribution sector in Kenya. This research gives an elaborate explanation on how ICT integration enhances supply chain performance of an organization in a distribution sector. The areas examined include the core areas in ICT integration which include the ICT systems used in organizations, Challenges faced by ICT technologies i.e. security challenges and the significant elements with effect on ICT integration to enhancing supply chain performance. Various data collection methods were also employed as follows; administering questionnaires to the sampled respondents and use of survey techniques. After data collection, analysis was done using SPSS. Data was then organized, and summarized using descriptive measures: percentages, mean, standard deviation and frequency distribution tables while tables were used for presentation of the findings. Pearson’s correlations coefficients were in place to examine the relationship between the independent and the dependent variables as per the objectives of the research. The findings were realistic and positive that is, it was revealed that ICT integration, did have significant effect in enhancing supply chain performance, and hence ICT integration plays a great role in supply chain performance. The study recommended skill development through training on ICT integration and development of clear policies on the use of ICT to help curb criminalization which is the biggest threat in the ICT environment.

Abstract: The main objectives of the study was to establish how the effects of the devolution improve living standards of Marsabit County. To obtain the required information, the study focuses on the impact of devolution especially in early childhood development, water and health sectors. Devolution is the statutory granting of powers from government of a sovereign state to the government at sub- national level. The government of Marsabit county should provide the best levels of services to the people of the Marsabit county in order to improve their living standards especially in the areas identified above. The health sector, water and early childhood development are the most crucial areas to communities living in the Marsabit County. The study was tried to explain the objectives, problems and scopes of the study in living standard in the Marsabit county and challenges faces in the health sector, water and early childhood programmes. The early childhood development education is the bedrock and foundation of all learning in the life of any child. It is said that a child who goes through ECDE learning successfully has higher chances of excel in the primary and secondary school. The ECDE is most important foundation in the education level and advent of the implementation of the constitution of Kenya (2010), the devolution process herald the devolution of pre- school amongst other devolved functions of the county government. The study based on the objectives and challenges of devolving ECDE services to county and at what extent the communities benefitted from devolved ECDE service to county. The water is the most crucial areas to the life of people living in the Marsabit County. The study was tried to explain at what extent the communities living in the Marsabit County were benefitted from devolved government especially at water sector and challenges the county may faced. The objectives of the devolved water services to the county. The health is also the most important areas to the communities living in the Marsabit County at large. This study was attempted to explain at what extent communities benefitted from devolved health service to county and objectives of devolved health services to the county. The study generally explained how  the living standards in the Marsabit County improve in the identified areas above.

Abstract: In the age of social photography; the interaction of youths on Social Networking Sites, SNSs, and photographic images appears to have a level of affinity that is worth looking into. The study therefore delved into the use of photographic images by youths in SNSs and tried to evaluate the level of importance of photographic images in youths’ interaction in SNSs. Close ended structured questionnaire was used as viable instrument to collect data from respondents which cut across youths from selected secondary and tertiary institutions in Lagos and Ondo states, Nigeria. The results were analysed using frequency count and mean score. The result revealed that quite an appreciable percentage of youths in the study area attached importance to photographic images to their interaction on SNSs.

Abstract: Training healthcare staff, especially nurses, is one of the challenging in healthcare during hajj season. According to healthcare statistics on 1434H, nurses represented the largest group working in hajj season with more than 31%. Limitation of space and time synchronized with such huge number of nurses' staff who always need to be trained on maintaining patient safety specially when dealing with guests of Allah, are emerging the need for e-learning strategy. The objectives of this research were to assess nurses' knowledge in patient safety before and after viewing patient safety e-learning course and to evaluate the effectiveness of the e-learning course on nurses' patient safety knowledge during hajj season, 1436H in Makkah and Al- Mashaer Al- Moqadasah hospitals and primary healthcare centres. The research methodology followed was experimental design, specifically one group pre-post examination experimental method by using an e-learning course of patient safety. Purposive sampling technique was applied to formulate the sample of this research. The e-learning course has been introduced online for one month. After that period of time, the results were as follows: knowledge level of the research sample on pre-exam was fairly high.  They got significantly higher scores on post-exam than those on pre-exam. The result [T = 5.5, P = 0.000], and value of h² (0.16) demonstrated the significant differences between the level of nurses' knowledge on patient safety before and after viewing the e-learning course. The researcher reached to a conclusion that nurses were fairly knowledgeable about patient safety on pre-exam. When they enrolled on a patient safety e-learning course, they displayed a great improvement in their knowledge regarding patient safety. This proved that e-learning can be a precious and effective strategy for hospitals and primary healthcare centers when training a large number of nursing staff on any updating in patient safety.

Abstract: Mental health is a positive concept related to the social and emotional wellbeing of individuals and communities. The concept is culturally defined, but generally relates to the enjoyment of life, ability to cope with stresses and sadness, the fulfilment of goals and potential, and a sense of connection to others (Jenkins, 2007). Cutts and Mosaley (1978) has defined mental health as an “ability to adjust satisfactorily to the various strains of the environment; we meet in life and mental hygiene as the means we take to assure this adjustment”. Present study focuses on assessing the mental health status of adolescent girls. A sample of 30girls doing their under graduate was drawn through randomized sampling. Standardized Mental Health Check list by Pramod (1992) was used to assess their mental health status.

Abstract: This study examines the potential of wind energy generation in the Sudano- Sahelian Zone of Nigeria under different rotor diameters. Data on wind speed, were obtained for 40 years (1973- 2012) from the records of Nigerian Meteorological Agency, Oshodi, Lagos. Mathematical Model was used to compute wind energy potential at 45m, 90m and 126m rotor diameters.  The study revealed that about 89% of annual wind speed was found to be above the threshold of 3.0m/s for wind turbine operations. Wind energy potential in the area is high, varying from 704kW in Yelwa to 3,659kW in Kano, at a turbine rotor diameter of 126m. This could generate 512,260kW of electricity with two wind farms of 70 wind turbines each. The study concluded that the Sudano-Sahelian Zone has enormous potential for wind energy generation. It is therefore, recommended that the advantage of wind resources be explored by government through private public partnership initiative to complement existing sources of power generation for rapid socio-economic development in Nigeria.

Abstract: The world is gradually moving from what it used to be to a digital world. The information and communication technology wave is fast blowing across virtually every aspect of the society. If properly utilized, information communication technology (ICT) can be a veritable tool in enhancing transparency and efficient service delivery in both private and public sectors administration. This paper is an explanatory discourse on the prospects of implementing Electronics Administration in Nigeria and some of the drawbacks to it. Technological Determinism Theory was adopted to explain the effects of technology 0n administration. Alarming ICT illiteracy rate, epileptic power supply, high cost of purchasing computer gadgets, cyber crime and lack of adequate manpower were among others identified as the major challenges to e administration in Nigeria. This paper suggested mass ICT education, establishment of e administration implementation committees in both federal and state ministries and parastatals, the establishment of ministry for ICT Affairs, provision of necessary ICT infrastructures and cyber security as the panacea to the challenges confronting e administration in Nigeria. As a regional power, Nigeria should be at the lead in embracing the dividends of ICT.

Abstract: The study investigated the management of special collections units of five academic libraries in Imo State, Nigeria. These are Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo State University, Owerri, Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo and Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri. The population of the study were the five (5) special collections librarians of the aforementioned institutions while the descriptive survey design was adopted using structured questionnaire to elicit responses from them. Some of the bottlenecks in effective management of special collections include: lack of written collection development policy, poor funding, shortage of skilled staff, poor storage facilities amongst others. Recommendations were made for the improvement of special collections in these libraries.

Abstract: This paper investigates Libyan EFL learners’ perceptual learning style preferences with the aim to develop English language instruction at university and enhance the Libyan learners’ learning of English. The participants were forty female first year university students, studying at Alasmaria University, Zliten, Libya. Their perceptual learning style preferences was identified using Reid’s (1995) taxonomy of sinsory modalities (visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic). The quantitative data was gathered via a PLSPQ questionnaire which was analysed using descriptive statistics, while a semi-structured interview provided qualitative data and was categorized into themes. The results revealed that EFL university Libyan students had multiple learning styles with at least auditory and kinesthetic as their dominant learning style preferences, followed by visual and tactile styles. The findings of this study would help language teachers to be aware of their students' percepual learning style as a major factor influence students’ achievement and success, and create a meaningful learning environment by combining various methods and activities in order to achieve the objective of teaching and learning process.
