Abstract: As the lower arm of suspension takes up all dynamic loads on it leads to fatigue failure of arm and it hampered the whole suspension and more prone to harm human also. This paper consider the von-misses stress analysis of present suspension link carried out for static deflection and von-misses stress contour plot are plotted. The result shows that maximum deflection range is 0mm to 8.22mm. And von-misses stress shows minimum value of 0.86Mpa and Maximum is 3752Mpa. As the max von-misses are above the yield point of material some corrective action is to be done at the point where the link is connected to the chassis. After observing the stresses produced on arm it is found that some metal thickness should be increases at the chassis connection point to avoid the failure. So the U shape bracket is implemented their and CP element is used to again define the connectivity between the previous model and new bracket. After change in design the Minimum value of deformation range from 0.00 mm to maximum value of deformation is 1.925 mm. and the maximum stress developed is 736.888 Mpa. And maximum stress shown at only stress concentration area. Means change in design increases load capacity of arm in dynamic condition and as stress and deflection decreases so frequency also improved. And for material optimization more safer the material IS 2061 Fe 590 WA is well suitable for the suspension link, as the maximum von-misses stress is well bell the 240 Mpa but still at some region higher than the 240Mpa, so it better to select the material which has higher yield strength compared to 240 Mpa and the Material Fe 590 WA is the next suitable steel material available as per Indian Standard.

Abstract: The durability of automotive components is a critical aspect in the product development. Failure in component will lead to a serious damage not only the design of the component itself, but the entire system of vehicle. In this paper, a forces aced on a critical component was determined from multi-body simulation system for double wishbone suspension system under braking and cornering load cases. Using conventional method we cannot derive the forces on each part as it will denote the forces of whole vehicle as we consider overall weight and geometry of vehicle. That’s why ADAMS/view used as it gave output of forces on individual component of suspension. And complete FEM analysis of a suspension link for bending vibrations, braking, pitching, bouncing and combined mode dynamic analysis for deformation and stresses. For this a 3-D solid parametric model of a suspension link is generated in Pro-E Wildfire. Rigid body mode shape and participation factor effects by meshing in Hyper mesh by Shell 181, Solid 285 tetrahedral, MPC184 link/Beam, CP rig elements. It is analyzed for natural frequency and deflection. The ANSYS is used as solver. From the Modal Analysis normally it seems the lower arm is very stiff in breaking mode, i.e. higher the frequency higher the stiffness, the frequency is directly proportional to K and inversely proportional to Mass. The natural frequency for breaking mode is 391.5 Hz compared to natural frequencies respectively of rolling and pitching 132.5 HZ & 168.9 HZ. So, we can improve dynamic characteristic by increasing strength and frequency in rolling and pitching model.

Title: Rigid Body and Modal Analysis of Independent Suspension Link

Abstract:  In high-speed diesel engine the problem of torsional vibration of the crankshaft has become critical with increase in excitation forces. This results in high torsional vibration amplitudes and hence high stresses .This paper aims at complete FEM analysis of a crankshaft for torsional and bending vibrations & identification of stresses. It is analyzed for natural frequency, rigid body mode shape by ANSYS. . The complete simulation of actual boundary conditions is done for journal bearing support, inertia lumping for reciprocating parts and bearing stiffness. ANSYS-programme, which will convert user input Pressure-Crank angle variation to excitation forces for various orders through FFT. The dynamic responses obtained for displacement and stresses. Finally all results are combined to obtain the variation of Fillet Stress as a function of engine speed and harmonic orders. The critical dynamic response is compared with results obtained experimentally for torsional amplitudes. The parametric optimization has been done to increase the frequency it means the higher the frequency higher the stiffness or strength with optimum weight of the component.

Abstract: Object detection is a very important problem in the field of computer vision. Object detection is the process of finding instances of objects such as faces, bicycles, and buildings in images or videos. Object detection algorithms generally use extracted features and learning algorithms to recognize instances of an object category. It is commonly used in applications such as security, image retrieval, surveillance, and automated vehicle parking systems. This paper tries to provide an extension to this problem,by detecting objects in the images obtained from the UAV. The object focused here is only a single object i.e. car. This paper uses bag of words model with scale invariant feature transform. The video obtained from the UAV is analyzed frame by frame by the program and the number of cars in each frame of the video arefirst detected and the detected cars are then counted and displayed in the end.

Abstract: For over years, parallel I/O schemes ruled the chip to chip, board to board or backplane communication. Parallel I/O had to experience performance issues like crosstalk, signal integrity and increased skew after passing certain I/O clock-frequency rates [1]. Also parallel I/O methods increased the complexity of the hardware (high pin count, more wires) and made bandwidth sharing inevitable. In many new communication protocols serial data transmission has become very common due to low pin count (reduced cost). Serial transmission methods can also transmit at much higher clock rates per bit transmitted, thus outweighing the parallel transmission method. This paper contains the implementation of high-speed serial transmission on multi-gigabit serial I/O regulated by the Aurora protocol without channel bonding, supporting results and future scope of multi-gigabit designs.

Abstract: In nearby period, in school areas speed breakers are provided to reduce the speed of vehicles, but the drivers do this manually. This process can be automated by means of RF communication. That is to say that each vehicle should be equipped with a RF receiver circuit that reduces the speed automatically on entering the RF communicated area. A RF transmitter, kept where the speed breakers are to be installed, transmits a digital code. This code is decoded by the receiver circuit in the vehicle, which controls the activities of a carburetor to bring down the speed of the vehicle. The circuit devised has hardware for microcontroller to microcontroller data communication using 433.92 MHZ TX/RX modules. The receiver section microcontroller receives the data and brings down the speed of the motor of the vehicle model by pulse width modulation program in it.

Abstract: In nearby period, train collision at platform is occurring due to human error like wrong signalling but the cost of such error is lives of many people. We can avoid such accidents by adding automation in train tracking to control them via a central controller along with many sub-controllers. Trains are identified by unique RFID codes to each one. All the trains will be scanned to check the identity before they can reach the station and according to vacancy of the platform, train will be diverted to that particular platform. If any platform is not available then train will be ordered to hold till any platform gets vacated. Communication between train scanning system and central processing unit will be established by ZigBee modules. Such automation will be helpful to better security with high degree of accuracy.
