Abstract: Background: Adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder) is a common musculoskeletal disorder characterized by pain, stiffness, and restricted shoulder range of motion, leading to functional limitations and reduced quality of life. The objective was to review and summarize evidence-based physiotherapy interventions for the management of adhesive capsulitis.

Methods: A systematic search of databases including PubMed, Cochrane Library, PEDro, Scopus, and others identified 112 records. After screening and eligibility assessment, 31 studies (2017-2026) were included for analysis.

Results: A multimodal physiotherapy approach is most effective. Electrotherapy modalities such as LLLT and UST provide better pain relief when combined with exercise, while TENS and cryotherapy offer short-term benefits. Manual therapy, particularly joint mobilization and MWM, significantly improves ROM and function. Exercise therapy remains the cornerstone, with ROM, stretching, strengthening, and proprioceptive training improving mobility and disability. Advanced techniques such as PNF and MET further enhance outcomes. Patient education and stage-specific interventions are essential for optimal recovery.

Conclusion: An individualized, stage-based, and multimodal physiotherapy program is most effective in reducing pain, restoring mobility, and improving function in adhesive capsulitis.

Abstract: Background and Objectives: Chronic non-specific low back pain (CNSLBP) is a leading cause of disability worldwide. Although conventional physiotherapy is widely used, its effectiveness is often modest. Massage-based interventions have gained attention as alternative or adjunct therapies, but their comparative effectiveness remains unclear. The objectives were to systematically evaluate and compare the effectiveness of conventional physiotherapy and various massage techniques in the management of CNSLBP.

Methods: A systematic search of databases including PubMed, Google Scholar, Cochrane Library, PEDro, Embase, Scopus, and Web of Science was conducted. A total of 103 records were identified, of which 28 studies (2003–2025) met the inclusion criteria, including randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. Outcomes assessed included pain intensity, functional disability, mobility, and quality of life.

Results: Most interventions demonstrated significant short-term improvements in pain and function. Massage therapies showed consistent short-term benefits, though no clear superiority among different techniques was observed. Manual therapy combined with exercise demonstrated enhanced outcomes compared to isolated interventions. Exercise therapy showed limited correlation between physical performance improvements and disability reduction. Evidence for electrotherapy modalities (UST, TENS, LLLT) was mixed, with no clear superiority. Overall, the magnitude of clinical benefit across interventions was modest, and long-term effects remain uncertain.

Conclusion: Both conventional physiotherapy and massage-based interventions are effective in CNSLBP management, with no single approach demonstrating clear superiority. A multimodal, individualized rehabilitation strategy appears most beneficial. Further high-quality comparative studies with long-term follow-up are needed to establish optimal treatment approaches.

Abstract: The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 80% of the world's population was at danger from vector borne diseases which account for 17% of all infectious diseases and more than 700,000 annual fatalities. Objectives: To assess the existing knowledge regarding vector borne disease among the adults in selected rural area and to determine the association between level of knowledge and prevention of vector borne diseases among adults with their demographic variables. Materials and Methods: 105 subjects participated in this study. Quantitative research approach with descriptive research design was used. Non-Probability Convenient sampling technique was used to select the sample. The data were collected from selected rural area, using socio demographic data sheet and structured knowledge Questionnaire. Results: 105 subjects participated in this study with that majority of the subjects 30.5% were from the age group of 31 – 40 years, majority of the subjects 55.2% were male, majority of the subjects 27.6% having primary education level of education, majority of the subjects 31.4% were housewife, majority of the subjects 28.6% having 60001 – 70000 income and majority of the subjects 31.4% were belongs to Hindu religion.  The level of knowledge score, out of 105 subject’s majority 48.6% of subjects had good level of knowledge score, 45.7% had average level of knowledge score, 3.8% had poor level of knowledge score, 3.8% had poor level of knowledge score and 0% had excellent level of knowledge score. Mean knowledge score of the subjects was 12.19 + 2.869. Minimum score was 04 and Maximum score was 20. Conclusion: To assess the knowledge regarding selected vector borne diseases and its prevention among adults in rural area found to be effective in improving their knowledge and prevention. It did not show any association in relation to their selected demographic variables from selected rural area. Hence, based on the above finding it was conducted undoubtedly that the written prepared material by the researcher in the form of the subject to improve their knowledge and prevention regarding selected vector borne diseases among adults.

Abstract: Emergency healthcare services are essential for providing immediate medical care during life‑threatening situations such as accidents, sudden illness, trauma, and other critical health conditions. Patient satisfaction has become an important indicator for evaluating the quality of healthcare services, particularly in emergency departments where prompt response and efficient medical management are required. The quality of emergency healthcare services depends on several factors including response time, availability of hospital beds, infrastructure, accessibility of medical equipment, and the behavior and responsiveness of healthcare staff.

This preliminary study focuses on understanding the relationship between emergency healthcare service quality and patient satisfaction in hospitals located in Nayagarh district of Odisha, India. The study is conceptual and exploratory in nature and is based on secondary data sources such as academic research articles, healthcare management literature, and government health reports.

The paper identifies key dimensions that influence patient satisfaction in emergency departments, including waiting time, communication with healthcare providers, availability of resources, and overall service efficiency. Understanding these factors is essential for improving healthcare management practices in district‑level hospitals. The study provides a conceptual foundation for future empirical research involving field surveys and patient interviews in Nayagarh district hospitals.

Abstract: Contemporary mental health care increasingly prioritizes symptom reduction, emotional regulation, and psychological safety as primary indicators of well-being. Although these stabilization-oriented approaches have advanced ethical practice through harm reduction and trauma-informed care, global indicators of psychological distress remain elevated. This tension raises a conceptual question: has mental health discourse narrowed its definition of psychological health by equating well-being with emotional comfort? Using a critical interpretive thematic synthesis of contemporary clinical and existential scholarship, this article examines the assumptions underlying avoidance-based well-being models and contrasts them with logotherapeutic and meaning-centered perspectives. Six analytic themes emerged, including the consolidation of a comfort paradigm, the normalization of experiential avoidance beyond acute contexts, the possibility of symptom relief without existential coherence, and the marginalization of existential tension as a developmental resource. Building on these findings, the article advances an integrative model of psychological health in which symptom stabilization is foundational but insufficient without meaning-centered engagement. Existential hope is clarified as a responsibility-grounded mechanism that sustains resilience independently of affective reassurance. The analysis argues that sustainable psychological well-being requires the dynamic integration of compassionate stabilization and existential orientation. By reframing discomfort as developmentally significant rather than merely pathological, this study offers a theoretically grounded corrective to comfort-dominant paradigms in contemporary mental health theory and practice.

Abstract:

Background:

• When discussing climate change, it is essential to address its past, present, and future impacts. Historically, the emissions of each country matter because carbon dioxide has a long atmospheric life, persisting for over 100 years. In the present, countries must navigate how to equitably reduce their carbon footprint to make room for developing nations. In the future, we face the critical challenge of preventing further emissions to avoid overwhelming the atmosphere.
• From Temperature to Health: The connection between climate change and health was first highlighted in medical literature in 1989, when Professor Alexander Leaf of Harvard Medical School published an article in the New England Journal of Medicine titled "Potential Health Effects of Global Climatic and Environmental Changes." He raised concerns about the uncertainty surrounding the magnitude and pace of climate change, asking whether we could predict the consequences of global warming with enough certainty to act, or if the ambiguity justified delaying action.
• Mental Health: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health is defined as a state of well-being that allows individuals to handle life’s stresses, realize their abilities, learn and work efficiently, and contribute to their community. It is fundamental to our ability to make decisions, form relationships, and shape the world we inhabit. Mental health is not only a basic human right but is also essential for personal, community, and socio-economic development.

Why Mental Health Should Be a Priority:

• Mental health is influenced by numerous factors, including individual, social, and structural elements. Psychological and biological factors, such as emotional resilience, substance use, and genetics, can make individuals more vulnerable to mental health problems.
• Moreover, unfavorable socio-economic, geopolitical, and environmental conditions—including poverty, violence, inequality, and environmental degradation—also heighten the risk of mental health issues.

Climate Change and Mental Health:

• The link between climate change and mental health is becoming increasingly evident. Extreme weather events, droughts, wildfires, and floods have significant impacts on agriculture and human systems, contributing to anxiety and stress. Rising air pollution and temperatures increase the risk of neurological and psychiatric conditions such as strokes and dementia. Additionally, changes in food supply and infectious disease patterns are contributing to psychiatric illnesses.

• Climate change also threatens livelihoods, forces migration, and disrupts communities, all of which can harm mental health. The psychological toll of climate change, such as fear for personal and national security, is contributing to widespread distress. Even, Climate Change indirectly affects the mental health of pregnant women by causing anxiety and depression due to uncertainty about the environment and worries about how it will impact their children in the long term. Furthermore, climate impacts the mental health of mothers and their children in their growth and development.

• A growing lexicon has emerged to describe the psychological impacts of climate change. Terms like ecological grief and eco-anxiety capture the sense of loss and anxiety people feel about the loss of a stable future. Solastalgia describes the longing for landscapes and ways of life destroyed by environmental changes. While eco-anxiety is a natural response to the climate crisis, it can lead to feelings of hopelessness, particularly among young people.
• Global Efforts: World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5th, highlights the global need for environmental protection. This year’s theme, "Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience," is a key component of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030). Restoring ecosystems is crucial not only for environmental sustainability but also for reducing mental health challenges exacerbated by climate change.

Conclusion:

• This discussion paper makes three key points. First, while linking specific mental health outcomes to climate change remains complex, more empirical research can advance this critical field. Second, the risks and mental health impacts of climate change are rapidly increasing, disproportionately affecting vulnerable/ marginalized populations. Third, interventions to address mental health and climate change should be coordinated and rooted in hope, addressing the issue holistically.
• The rising frequency of climate-related disasters can lead to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), adjustment disorders, and depression. Climate-induced migration can result in acculturation stress, while increased rates of physical illness due to climate change can further contribute to psychological distress. Finally, the paper discusses the mental health implications of climate mitigation measures and proposes strategies to address these challenges.
• Rising ambient temperatures are expected to increase aggression and violent suicides, while prolonged droughts linked to climate change may lead to higher rates of farmer suicides and overall mental distress. Frequent climate-related disasters can cause PTSD, adjustment disorders, and depression. Additionally, climate-induced migration may result in acculturation stress, and an increase in physical illnesses from global warming could lead to further psychological distress. Potential mental health impacts of mitigation measures are also considered. The paper concludes with recommendations for addressing the anticipated mental health challenges stemming from climate change.
• Recommendations: Addressing the mental health consequences of climate change requires a multi-faceted approach that includes research, policy interventions, and coordinated global efforts. By taking proactive steps now, we can mitigate the mental health impacts of climate change on future generations.

Abstract: Background: Facial colliculus syndrome (FCS) is an uncommon dorsal pontine syndrome resulting from lesions at the level of the facial colliculus. It classically presents with ipsilateral horizontal gaze palsy and lower motor neuron facial weakness due to involvement of the abducens nucleus and facial nerve fascicle¹,². Selective abducens nuclear involvement without facial palsy is rare.

Case Presentation: A 65-year-old male presented with acute binocular horizontal diplopia and gait imbalance. Neurological examination revealed impaired conjugate horizontal gaze toward the left side without facial weakness. MRI demonstrated a focal diffusion-restricting lesion in the dorsal caudal pons at the level of the facial colliculus. Imaging findings confirmed acute infarction selectively involving the abducens nucleus.

Conclusion: This case highlights an incomplete variant of facial colliculus syndrome. Diffusion-weighted MRI plays a pivotal role in detecting small brainstem infarcts and accurately localizing dorsal pontine lesions.

Abstract: The prevalence of food allergies has been rising globally, affecting both children and adults. Misunderstanding food allergies can lead to unnecessary dietary restrictions or, in some cases, life-threatening consequences. This overview aims to describe food allergies, distinguish it from other forms of food sensitivity, and discuss its symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment. The literature source consists of relevant journals and books from the search engines PubMed and Google Scholar. When an individual with a food allergies consumes a particular allergen, their immune system produces IgE antibodies against that allergen. Upon subsequent exposure, these antibodies trigger the release of histamines and other inflammatory mediators from mast cells and basophils, resulting in allergic symptoms. The classic symptoms of a food allergies can range from mild to severe and include skin reactions (hives, eczema, or itching), gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal pain), respiratory issues (sneezing, runny nose, coughing, or difficulty breathing) or systemic reactions (naphylaxis). The combination of of medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests in some cases can provide enough diagnostic reliability to make the diagnosis of a food allergies. Oral antihistamines may relief for mild allergic symptoms, whereas systemic corticosteroids may be prescribed for severe acute reactions or persistent inflammatory symptoms. Patients with systemic reactions should receive intramuscular epinephrine (adrenaline) during anaphylaxis.

Abstract: Deaf children face a range of different challenges, one of which is psychological difficulties. When encountering difficulties in communication and accessing information, this leads to barriers in the process of absorbing information, knowledge, and learning, resulting in deaf children experiencing significant stress, anxiety, and low self-esteem. Children with hearing impairments want to be supported in many different aspects. In this study, the author examines the psychological challenges and support requirements of deaf children in specialized educational institutions in Lam Dong Province, Vietnam. The study involving 149 children with hearing impairments showed that the institutions’ psychological support activities for children encompass understanding the psychological problems they encountered such as communication, learning, feeling lonely, not having someone to share, etc. Social workers in these facilities have provided support at various levels to help children feel listened to, understood, and receive appropriate support plans, so that psychological problems are alleviated or ended. In addition, the study conducted in-depth interviews with 6 social workers who are teachers and 16 deaf children in 2 institutions, and conducted an online parent group discussion to provide further details for explaining difficulties, needs, and evaluating psychological support activities. Children with hearing impairments appreciate the institutional support they receive. However, there is also a need for in-depth support to help children with hearing impairments learn and integrate better in life.

Abstract: This study employed a combination of core methods commonly used in social work research—including document analysis, questionnaire-based survey, in-depth interviews, and an experimental approach—to examine the current status of emotion regulation skills among healthcare workers at Hanoi Eye Hospital. The findings indicate that healthcare workers frequently face high levels of pressure due to work overload and stressful situations under the hospital’s current working conditions. Therefore, strengthening emotion regulation skills for healthcare workers is critically necessary.

Abstract: Artificial intelligence–based conversational tools are increasingly explored to support healthcare research activities. ResearchBOT is a free-to-use artificial intelligence support platform developed by pharmacists to assist users in clarifying clinical research– related questions. This multicenter cross-sectional study evaluated pharmacists' perceptions of usability, post-use confirmation, and intention to continue using ResearchBOT.

An online survey was conducted among public sector pharmacists in Negeri Sembilan and Pahang, Malaysia. Participants interacted with ResearchBOT following a guided scenario involving at least five different research- and statistics-related questions and completed a structured questionnaire comprising usability (Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire), post-use confirmation, and use continuance domains, measured on a 7-point Likert scale. Descriptive statistics, reliability testing, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression were performed using IBM SPSS version 26.

A total of 223 responses were collected, with 217 included in scale analysis. The sample comprised pharmacists with a mean age of 32.1 ± 5.0 years, mean working experience of 7.53 ± 4.94 years, and mean research experience of 3.06 ± 3.77 years. Mean scores indicated positive perceptions of usability (5.35 ± 1.02), post-use confirmation (5.34 ± 1.11), and use continuance (5.38 ± 1.09). Internal consistency was excellent across all domains (Cronbach's α > 0.95). Strong correlations were observed between usability and use continuance (r = 0.759), usability and post-use confirmation (r = 0.736), and post-use confirmation and use continuance (r = 0.755). Multiple linear regression showed that usability (β = 0.472, p < 0.001) and post-use confirmation (β = 0.420, p < 0.001) were significant independent predictors of intention to continue using ResearchBOT, explaining 67.2% of the variance (R² = 0.672). Demographic variables were not statistically significant predictors after adjustment.

ResearchBOT demonstrated favorable acceptance among pharmacists. Usability and confirmation of expectations play a critical role in sustained adoption of AI-supported research tools in clinical pharmacy practice.

Abstract: Background: Integrating health services in primary health care (PHC) enhances efficiency, access, and comprehensive care, playing a vital role in achieving equity, universal health coverage (UHC), and better population health outcomes.

Objective: This study examined the differences in integrated health service delivery between urban and rural PHC facilities in Anambra State, Nigeria.

Methods: Interviewer-administered questionnaires and observation checklists assessed variations in service availability, workforce practices, and patient experiences across urban and rural PHC facilities. Health workers and clients were selected using probability and convenience sampling, respectively. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and Chi-square tests at a 5% significance level.

Results: Health workers provided specific services on designated days, with over 91% of clients having been turned away and asked to return for services on scheduled days. Urban PHC facilities had a statistically significant advantage over rural ones in human resource availability, frequency of basic service provision, and implementation of a two-way referral system.

Conclusion: Strengthened policies, ongoing capacity building, and strong monitoring systems are vital for effective PHC service integration.

Abstract: Background: Loneliness is often addressed as a social deficit, yet growing evidence suggests it reflects deeper existential disruption. Grounded in logotherapy, this study examined meaning-centered pathways through which loneliness affects psychological outcomes and evaluated a brief logotherapy-informed intervention.

Methods: An explanatory sequential mixed-methods design was employed. Quantitative survey data from 200 adults were analyzed using Pearson correlation, mediation, and moderation analyses. An intervention subsample (n = 15) completed a six-session logotherapy-informed program, with pre–post changes assessed using paired-samples t tests and longitudinal mediation. Qualitative interviews conducted pre- and post-intervention were thematically analyzed, and findings were contextualized through a PRISMA-guided synthesis of 20 studies.

Results: Perceived loneliness was moderately and negatively correlated with meaning in life (r = −.48, p < .001). Meaning in life partially mediated the relationship between loneliness and psychological well-being (indirect effect p < .001), while self-transcendence moderated the loneliness–psychological distress relationship (β = −.18, p = .009). The intervention produced significant reductions in loneliness (t(14) = 4.12, p = .001) and significant increases in meaning in life (t(14) = −4.46, p < .001), with changes in meaning mediating loneliness reduction. Qualitative findings indicated that loneliness was experienced as existential emptiness and that meaning was restored through attitudinal choice, responsibility, and self-transcendence.

Conclusions: Loneliness operates primarily through meaning-related pathways. Meaning-centered, logotherapy-informed interventions alleviate loneliness by transforming its existential significance rather than eliminating social isolation, underscoring meaning in life as a central mechanism for coping and intervention.

Abstract: As a result of the study of the line of infrared filters from 720 nm to 950 nm, it was found that the most detailed images of the palms are obtained when using an infrared filter with a transmission wavelength of 760 nm. Photography of the palms in infrared light, through a 760 nm light filter, allowed the discovery of the "black phalanges" effect, which is associated with a stronger absorption of infrared radiation by the phalanges of the fingers than by the palms. A hypothesis is put forward about the connection of the discovered effect with human pathology. Infrared images revealed dark spots measuring 1 to 1.5 mm in size, located near the border of the lower and middle phalanges of the fingers in individuals aged 50 to 75. It is suggested that these dark spots are the result of age-related changes or abnormalities in the finger veins. The study hypothesizes a correlation between the lack of visibility of finger veins in infrared light and the tendency towards prolonged physical exertion.

Abstract: The increasing availability of Real World Data (RWD) and Real World Evidence (RWE) has introduced transformative opportunities for enhancing commercial product strategy within the pharmaceutical sector. This paper presents a predictive framework that leverages advanced analytics, machine learning, and data science methodologies to integrate RWD/RWE into pharmaceutical market forecasting and strategic decision-making. By synthesizing data from electronic health records, claims databases, patient registries, wearables, and social health platforms, the proposed framework enables dynamic modeling of market behaviors across the product lifecycle from early-stage development and launch readiness to post-marketing optimization. The study examines how RWD/RWE-driven insights can improve market sizing, refine demand predictions, support pricing and reimbursement strategies, and guide portfolio prioritization. Additionally, it highlights the role of predictive modeling in identifying unmet medical needs, monitoring therapeutic adoption, evaluating competitive landscapes, and generating evidence to inform stakeholder engagement. Through case analyses and a performance evaluation of the framework across multiple therapeutic areas, this research demonstrates that systematic integration of RWD/RWE enhances commercial agility, reduces forecasting uncertainty, and strengthens long-term product value.
