Abstract: The statement “behind every successful man is a woman”, shows just how much women are capable of handling almost every problem, overcoming the hurdles in life and still be loving and caring.The male dominated world has always been hesitant to acknowledge the fact that women are as good as men in terms of capability, hard work, intelligence and even management skills. In some parts of India women are still being considered as someone who should be sitting at home and take care of the family.India, which is a veritable male dominated country, is now seeing a sudden surge in women entrepreneurs. We can now see the changing demographics, how women are now entering new and unique business avenues with creative marketing strategies to tap their customers. Customization and personalization is the new trend, and women entrepreneurs are doing just that to please their customers. Nowadays women are running several businesses like bakery shops, interior designing, beauty parlors/salon, general stores, boutiques, blogging sites, jewelry/accessories stores, etc. and that too with a lot of success.

The aim of this research paper is to find out what problems women face in creating and maintaining their own enterprise, and how they overcome those hurdles and become successful.  Through this paper, we intend to carry out primary research through questionnaire and personal interviews where women entrepreneurs were questioned about the motivational factors, problems they faced while starting up enterprise and other barriers they face during operations of their businesses. Questions about the nature of their enterprise, their family background and their abilities were also raised in order to get a clear picture. Also a brief highlight regarding the role of Web Marketing in women’s success is discussed.

Abstract: The present study was an empirical analysis designed to measure the various factors regarding employee absenteeism in Consyst Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Eranakulam. Results from 100 employees indicated that absenteeism being a problem related to individual behavior can be better tackled at the immediate superior’s level than by the staff department.

Abstract: This study explored into the profile of the identified successful entrepreneur in his chosen business; the characteristics of a successful entrepreneur attributable to his success in terms of: a. Financial Management, b. Marketing Management, and c. Management in general: and his strategies to overcome internal and external factors affecting the business. Mr. Anthony Boaging was the chosen entrepreneur, as he seemed to epitomize the entrepreneurial attributes that are expected of their kind. In relation to the questions that were studied, the researchers used the descriptive qualitative design, using a case study approach. He started his business with a borrowed capital. Then in 1992, a baker from La Union offered to sell all his baking equipment. Mr. Boaging is an entrepreneur with a big heart. His calculation for success is through this formula: 3H+I+D+S=SUCCESS and where 3H stands for Honesty, Humility, and Hard work; I is Interest, D is Dedication and S is Smile. Strategies employed to overcome external and internal factors are continuous innovation of product, maintaining prompt service, maintaining the quality of the product, managing change, embracing risk such as competitors through facing them legally but maintaining moral and good relations.  It is recommended that the results of this study be published to serve as inspiration for new entrepreneurs and to be used as a reference in the curriculum of any business course in the college. Moreover, researches have to be conducted to look into the stories of successful entrepreneur in the province.

Abstract: The purpose of the article is to investigate the mutually beneficial nature of establishing long-term relationships with employees as internal customers of the business. The target population for this study is 140 unit managers and their assistants at private hospitals in Amman/Jordan. A total of 100 unit managers of private hospitals participated in the completion of questionnaires. Data analysis was done by calculating averages and standard deviations, Cronbach's alpha-values and practical significance by means of effect sizes. The findings of the study stipulate that a more coherent attempt must be made to improve the level of internal communication between the unit managers of private hospitals and their employees. This would create an environment within the private hospitals that can promote mutual respect, trust and concern between management and employees that enhance keeping or even lowering their turnover.

Abstract: A study on customers’ preference enables marketer to predict a customers’ preference in the market; it also understanding of the role of that consumption has in the lives of individuals.  Customers’ research takes place at every phase of the consumption process, before the purchase, during the purchase and after purchase.  It attempts to understand the buyer decision processes/buyer decision making process, both individually and in groups. It also tries to assess influences on the customers from groups such as family, friends, reference groups, and society in general. What we buy, how we buy, where we buy, in how much quantity we buy depends on our perception, self-concept, social and cultural background and our age and family cycle, our attitudes, personality, many other factors that are both internal and external to us.

Abstract:  Nowadays, many organisations are moving toward considering knowledge management as an essential part to help in working and achieving the organisation goal and to ensure its sustainability and development. It’s because they understand that the tangible assets are not the only valuable asset but also all the intangible assets should be managed to improve the organisation performance. From another point nowadays many people all over the world did not know about the rich Islamic heritage which was the foundation of our modern world. From this context we can see how the house of wisdom which was a great scientific academy and a library which include scholars from all the world and from different religions under the management of Muslims Caliph and their vision for creation, innovation and motivated all people to create and invent and he support them by the necessary technologies and suitable environment. Thus, the concept of knowledge management and principles was applied in house of wisdom since thousands of years and it has proven its success and it helped to raise and support the original inventions and to transfer it from a generation to another. This paper, represent a solution to the universities and especially the Islamic universities to promote their rankings and optimizing their state, by the merge between the Islamic heritage and knowledge management to result a successful organisation such as bayt el hikmah and to build a new generations who are aware of the greatness of Islam and of muslin scientists and who have the mind set of innovation and sharing knowledge.

Abstract: In developing countries, it has been observed that Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth from agriculture benefits the incomes of poor people two to four times more than any other sectors of the economy. The positivity and negativity of globalization have been experienced at a number of different levels i.e Individual, household, firm, town, region, sector and nation.  However, little is known on the challenges the farmers are getting, with the use of transaction cost theory. This study therefore analyzed margin profit of the value chain for pigeonpea in Tanzania for better policy making, to improve their market access so as to improve production and reduce poverty. To attain the main objective of mapping the value and also analysis of the existing performance in terms of price, cost and profit from the source to the downstream of the value chain was done.

The results shows that, common marketing system used  is not direct marketing system although there is one group of the  company doing direct marketing  by having arrangement with  farmers and  buy from them.  The common market system involves many links with no value addition within the channels which increase the total cost by double handling. Farmers sell pigeonpea individully which increase the transaction cost such as seller/buyer search cost. In all the two systems, there is lack of market information by farmers in upstream and control of big buyers in downstream making farmers to have low bargaining power due to all the amount of pigeonpea from the upstream of the value chain bought by the urban exporters. Since the middlemen have direct contact with exporters, they knew the quality required, they act opportunistically towards the farmers and enjoy profit by buying at low price with no value addition. Also the is lack of capital which contraints participants in a value chain which is caused by lack of knowledge and collateral to get loans. Another issue is of gender participation in this business, for dry pigeonpea men are involved and green pigeonpea is the women business. Women involvement of women in dry pigeonpea business is restricted by lack of capital.

Abstract: Aristotle said, “Media is the means of catharsis and is must for normal living”. Media is considered as "mirror" of the modern society. In fact it is the media which shapes our lives, rules our thoughts even our opinions and judgments are drawn and decided by media. On one hand where media is busy getting into our nerves, playing with our minds by setting our opinions on some major issues, the question arises here is whether media itself follow any norms? Does it consider any of its responsibility towards the society? Media communicates the several CSR practices of corporate, highlighting their achievements, show off their lack backs but is media itself having any sense of social responsibility or it has just constrained itself on others ‘yet to be done’, list? In this study we will try to answer all these questions about the media industry. Our study will be based on 3 different television media channels and on their CSR efforts.

Abstract: The paper attempts to explore Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices particularly in the context of rural development, what CSR initiatives taken for development of rural areas and how the Corporates implement their CSR initiatives as a part of their business strategy. Here we will also see the impacts of CSR actions on the socio-economic development of rural people. We will study the CSR practices of Mudra Fashions & Lifestyle in the context of rural development. The methodology of the present study relied on the web-based research, review of print literature and visit to the selected sites to witness CSR practice. The paper is based on the study that social responsibility is regarded as an important business issue of Indian companies whatever may be its sector or business goal. Abstract: The issue of managing organizational change is of key importance within management theory and practice. A number of cases have shown that attempts to 'manage' organizational change frequently failed. Therefore the objective of this paper is to find why does the failure almost occur? Additionally, this papers objective is to provide discussion and find reply on the following questions: Which specific aspects of change are currently impacting most on practicing managers? How do they react to change? How are they dealing with them? And how successful are their attempts? How do the problems identified and solutions described, relate to the theory and research on organizational change? What kind of organizations are the most adopted to changes? The findings suggest that most companies’ operational strategies and structures reflect past business realities making organizational inertia one of the most significant obstacles to change. However, it is noted that leadership and management skills, such as visioning, prioritizing, planning, providing feedback and rewarding success, are key factors in any successful change initiative. The paper culminates with conclusions, implications and suggestions for further research.
