Abstract: Concept of caste is against social justice and equity. Unfortunately, caste is an integral component of Indian society. Marriage within the caste is the general norm of Indian society. However, the process of modernization, democratization and development has brought about nearly 11% out-of-caste marriages. 5.6% were of men marrying women of lower castes while another 5.4% were of men married in upper caste. The predisposing factors are : Heavy dowry demand, Modern education, Secularism, freedom of thought and expression, and Population migration. In this study, a sample of 100 educated students (both boys and girls) and 100 uneducated youths (both boys and girls) from Ludhiana district have been taken. It has been found that educated boys and girls and uneducated boys and girls at few points do not favor inter-caste marriage. While educated boys and girls opine that inter-caste marriage increase the unity of the society, it has been observed that only a few uneducated boys and girls agree with this statement. It has been found that most of boys and girls from educated category confess that inter-cast marriage lessens that economic burden of the parents but uneducated boys and girls go against this opinion.

Abstract: In colonial India, the insistence on imperial authority had to be accomplished through structures shaped by constant interaction with the society the British ruled. The identification of criminality and criminal behaviour however excluded the elites like the higher caste and class groups. In colonial Orissa, this formed an important imperial strategy in the making of the colonial state. Through this, the colonial state sought to enjoy unlimited authority over each sections of the society that helped in the establishment of colonial sovereignty over indigenous population.

On one front, a funding crisis has created a shortfall that the universities’ brightest brains are struggling to solve. Institutions’ costs are rising, owing to pricey investments in technology, teachers’ salaries and galloping administrative costs. At the same time, a technological revolution is challenging higher education’s business model. An explosion in online learning, much of it free, means that the knowledge once imparted to a lucky few has been released to anyone with a smartphone or laptop. These financial and technological disruptions coincide with a third great change: whereas universities used to educate only tiny elite, they are now responsible for training and retraining workers throughout their careers. How will they survive this storm—and what will emerge in their place if they don’t?

Abstract: This paper examines the factors that prevent Public Private Partnership (PPP) from being a veritable means of housing provision in Bauchi, Nigeria judging from the fact that PPP has been in practice in Nigeria since early year 2000.  To achieve the objectives of this paper, relevant information was obtained from both primary and secondary sources.  Public sector assistance in the supply of land, Strong and competent private  sector organizations for community mobilization and mediatory functions, entrenchment of the principle of popular participation,  The presence of favourable macro-level economic, political and socio cultural climates,  The availability of potentials for cost recovery and the margin of profit for private sector partners and  The identification of shared objectives in the PPPs   were identified as the six factors that affect the success of   PPP in housing provision   in the study area.  54 questionnaires were administered  to  the staff of   State Housing and Property Development Corporations, Federal Housing Authority, Federal Ministry of Housing  and Urban Development, Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Real Estate Developers in Bauchi state,  Private Sector-owned Primary Mortgage Institutions,  State Government-owned Primary Mortgage Institutions while 50  questionnaires were properly filled and returned  . The data collected were analysed and the result shows that   the presence of a favourable macro - level economic, political and social, cultural climates, Public sector assistance in the supply of land and Strong and competent third sector organizations for community mobilization and mandatory functions   are the three main factors that are strongly preventing PPP from being a veritable vehicle for housing provision in Bauchi, Nigeria.

Abstract: The study deals with risk management in Philippine private dental schools with the objective of developing a risk management model to address the need for change and improvement in school management. Academicians as well as the stakeholders make concerted effort to enhance growth and development of education for the benefit of the students and the community. The researcher assessed the succession planning, student enrollment and safety/ security school management areas through a researcher-made questionnaire. Data were synthesized using descriptive, interview, observation and documentary analysis of data provided by the respondents which consist of Administrative Officers and graduating dental students. Findings show that the succession planning process must be re-evaluated, properly established and the need to develop a strong talent pool. Employees do not prefer external hiring of leaders and be subjected to job rotations. Retention and attrition factors must be properly addressed to safeguard the welfare of the students as well as to ensure  the sustainability of the school. Student enrolment and safety and security concerns were valued highly by the respondents. In addition, there is inadequate security measures in the dental schools. Implementing rules and regulation for strict compliance must be clearly defined if the objectives of the school are to be achieved. Administration must oversee good risk management practices in their system and stern observance of the rules and regulations.

Abstract: This study sought to investigate the mindsets or attitudes of students toward corrective feedback in classroom oral errors. A total of 365 students of Kalinga-Apayao State College provided data on their preference toward corrective feedback on classroom oral errors. The questionnaire was the main instrumentation. The mindsets of KASC students on the statements on corrective feedback point out their desire of correction for all their spoken errors; they favor teacher correction; peer correction and self-correction when given hints; and correction of errors that interfere with communication. They are uncertain when these errors should be corrected.  On the frequency of corrective feedback, the students want their grammatical errors to be always corrected and all other errors to be often corrected.  On the techniques used by teachers for grammatical errors, the students prefer recast, explicit, and explanation method; for pronunciation errors, they favor explicit and explanation. They regard No correction as poor method for both grammar and pronunciation errors.

Human Resource which is one of the major pillar of the Industry and economy has also started behaving very dynamically, unlike prior to 90s where people used to get retired from one job and never thought of changing the job.

With changes in the economy, demand, supply, needs, technology, family factors and education systems, resources are more aware of their values and become more demanding and more forecasting towards their career and financial goals. Which has motivated resources to change the jobs may be due to career or financial or family reasons. These changes of job by resources resulting into the attrition of human resources impacts significantly on the company’s growth, financial planning and productivity.

Abstract: In this paper, I introduce the three coexisting language varieties in Egypt- CA (Classic Arabic), EAV (Egyptian Arabic Variety), and EV (English Variety). Then I argue that Low variety (Egyptian Cairene dialect) of the diglossic situation of Arabic language in Egypt is getting special attention in an intentional attempt to standardize it. Diglossic situation is a problem as some researchers believe. However, in the case of Egypt, the problem is not in the diglossic situation itself, but it is in the existence of the CA that some thinkers believe is the reason for Arabs’ backwardness. In here I show the different plans of thinkers and mass media to standardize the EAV at the expense of CA. The paper concludes that CA is firm enough because it is strongly related to the Muslim religious book (Quran) and that it is extremely hard to replace.

Abstract: This article examines how a Muslim society like Egypt represents queers—i.e. gays and lesbians—in their movies and how that representation is not symmetrical and still paradoxical. The movies examined here are the famous 1973 Hammam Al-malality (the Malality Bathroom), the 1977 Qitta ala Naar (A Rush Cat), the 2006 Immart Yaccoubian (Jacobean Building), and the 2009 Bedoun Riqabaa (without censorship). Queers presented in these movies are sometimes given a tragic end, which is usually suicide or murder, and sometimes are excused but yet not straightforwardly. On the other hand, the Islamic ruling against such acts of gayness and lesbianism is presented clearly so that it could, in a way or another, give an explanation of why such paradoxical movie representation exists.

Abstract: The present study is an all-encompassing research conducted on the first year Medical students of Malaysia. Medical students have a hard schedule counting clinical practice they are also essential to master enormous capacities of understanding. Medical success not only depends on memory and intelligence but also depends on how the student perceives and feels about the educational environment and the different ways the student adopts when faced with stressful situations during the medical education. The present research was conducted to understand the perception of learning of students in relation to escape avoidance, plan-full problem solving and self-controlling; and social self-perceptions in relation to accepting responsibility and seeking social support.  The total sample for the study includes 41 Medical students of Phase-I year-1 2013 batch of USM-KLE International Medical Programme Belgaum, India. Firstly, it was hypothesized that students who have high perception of learning will have low escape avoidance, and high plan full problem solving and self-controlling. Secondly, it was hypothesized that those on high social self-perception have high level of accepting responsibility and high level of seeking social support. The obtained ‘t’ values are not signification for perception of learning of students in relation to the dimensions escape avoidance, plan-full problem solving and self-controlling but there exists a positive relation between the two dimensions of plan-full problem solving and self-controlling. On the other hand the obtained ‘t’ values for social self- perceptions in relation to the two dimensions accepting responsibility and seeking social support are also not significant but the their exist a positive relation between them.
