Abstract: This study investigated the effect of digital transformation on the performance of law courts in Nairobi City County, Kenya. The objective was to examine how digital hardware, digital software, system users’ competence, and system outsourcing influence court efficiency and effectiveness. The research was guided by the Resource-Based View (RBV), Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) theories, which provided the theoretical basis for linking digital adoption with organizational performance. A descriptive research design was adopted, with data collected from 150 judicial officers and staff through stratified sampling. Both quantitative and qualitative approaches were applied, with correlation and regression analyses used to test the relationships among variables. Findings revealed that digital hardware had the strongest positive effect on court performance, followed by system users, software, and outsourcing. The study concludes that digital transformation enhances judicial efficiency, transparency, and access to justice, though challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, limited skills, and cybersecurity risks persist. It recommends sustained investment in digital infrastructure, capacity-building of court personnel, and strategic outsourcing of IT services to strengthen judicial performance.

Abstract: This study explored teachers’ perceptions of factors influencing the effectiveness of school leadership in enhancing student academic performance in public secondary schools in Tunduma Town Council, Tanzania. Employing a mixed-methods approach guided by transformational and distributed leadership theories, data were collected from 99 teachers using surveys and supplemented by interviews with school heads. Findings revealed strong teacher consensus that the head of school’s critical role (M=4.21), supportive and motivational leadership (M=4.16), and policy implementation (M=4.10) significantly shape leadership effectiveness. Regression analysis indicated these factors explained 67% of the variance in perceived effectiveness (R²=0.67), with the head’s critical role (β=0.34, p=0.001) and strong leadership enhancing teaching (β=0.29, p=0.006) as the strongest predictors. Resource constraints and limited community involvement were noted as challenges. The study recommends targeted leadership training focusing on motivational and instructional support to enhance student outcomes in resource-limited settings.

Abstract: Despite notable progress in gender equality over the past decades, women worldwide continue to face significant barriers in politics. In Vietnam, although the representation of women in the National Assembly and elected bodies has improved, the proportion remains below expectations and lags behind men. Hillary Clinton—transitioning from lawyer and First Lady to Senator, Secretary of State, and U.S. presidential candidate—offers a compelling case of breaking the glass ceiling and redefining female political leadership at the global level. This article examines Clinton’s political trajectory, highlighting the key factors behind her success and the persistent gender-related obstacles she confronted. Drawing on a case study approach combined with comparative analysis, the study employs secondary data from academic research, official reports, and media coverage. Findings reveal that educational foundations, political networks, and strategic media engagement were instrumental to Clinton’s rise, while societal stereotypes and gendered scrutiny posed enduring challenges. The article concludes with lessons for Vietnam, suggesting that women aspiring to political leadership should invest in professional expertise, expand independent networks, and strategically leverage digital communication to overcome cultural and gendered barriers. These insights contribute to ongoing discussions on fostering women’s political participation in developing countries.

Abstract: The effect of bilingualism in college students with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a field that is gradually becoming popular in institutions that study education and cognition. Although there is a paucity of empirical research done on this intersection specifically, the available body of research offers much to be considered with respect to how bilingualism can alter the cognitive functioning, academic achievement, and learning process in students with this disorder. The needs of more than one or two languages might bring more problems regarding paying attention, organizing information, and processing for some people (Williams et al.,2023). Bilingualism can also bring increased executive functioning to others, increased flexibility in their thought process, and a better understanding of other cultures.

Bilingualism has various outcomes on different individuals depending on several factors, among them being the degree of linguistic knowledge, the aging of the acquisition of languages, the languages in question, and the severity of ADHD symptoms (Zheng et al.,2025). These aspects are connected with each other in a complex manner and identify the means of acquisition and learning, school-related problems, and individual success of bilingual students with this disorder.

This research reviews the recent literature that concerns the potential benefits and challenges of bilingualism to this category of individuals. It highlights the need for personalized instructions and the need for additional targeted research in order to better understand the outcomes of bilingualism on the cognitive and academic developmental journey of college students with this disorder.

Abstract: This study analyses the promotion and protection of sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) in South Africa and highlights lessons for Kenya. South Africa is the only African country to comprehensively liberalise and institutionalise SRHR through constitutional guarantees, progressive legislation, and detailed policy frameworks. Core statutes such as the National Health Act, Domestic Violence Act, Choice on Termination of Pregnancy Act, and the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act safeguard women’s bodily autonomy, access to healthcare, and protection from gender-based violence. These legal provisions are reinforced by national strategies including the Adolescent SRHR Framework, Contraception and Fertility Planning Policy, and the Strategic Plan for Maternal, Newborn, Child and Women’s Health. Together, they have reduced maternal mortality, teenage pregnancy, and HIV prevalence while expanding contraception, emergency care, and comprehensive sex education. South Africa’s judiciary has further entrenched SRHR by interpreting domestic laws in line with international human rights standards and ensuring progressive realisation despite resource constraints. In contrast, Kenya’s restrictive abortion provisions, weak enforcement mechanisms, and cultural practices continue to undermine SRHR, increasing unsafe abortions, maternal mortality, and rights violations. The study concludes that Kenya can strengthen its legal and policy framework by repealing restrictive provisions, training healthcare providers, expanding infrastructure, and integrating SRHR education and information technologies. Lessons from South Africa show that coordinated efforts by government, judiciary, and community actors are essential to realising women’s SRHR and reducing preventable morbidity and mortality.

Abstract: The graphic novel has emerged as a distinctive form of cultural expression that bridges visual art, literature, and social commentary. Rooted in the evolution of the comic strip and comic book, the medium has been redefined in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries through theoretical insights and critical recognition. Scholars such as Will Eisner and Scott McCloud established the theoretical vocabulary of sequential art, while more recent critics like Hillary Chute and Frederick Luis Aldama have emphasized its role in feminist, postcolonial, and multicultural contexts. In India, the graphic novel has developed in dialogue with indigenous storytelling traditions and contemporary social realities, producing innovative works such as River of Stories, Bhimayana, Kari, and Delhi Calm. This paper combines historical overview with critical analysis to show how the graphic novel has evolved into a medium of both entertainment and social critique. This paper draws on such perspectives to examine the development of graphic literature both globally and in India. It argues that the graphic novel should not be understood merely as an extension of print culture, but rather as a cultural form deeply tied to debates around identity, politics, and social resistance.

Abstract: This study simulated the stress responses of 50 virtual participants exposed to drip frequencies between 0.5 and 2 drops per second for durations of 30 to 120 minutes. Five predictive models LRSM, RFSM, SVM, ANN, and the proposed Hybrid Stress Prediction Model (HSPM) were evaluated across prediction accuracy, RMSE, physiological alignment, and computational efficiency. The HSPM demonstrated the strongest overall performance, achieving 85% prediction accuracy, surpassing ANN (80%), SVM (76%), RFSM (73%), and LRSM (70%). It also produced the lowest RMSE (0.25) and showed superior physiological alignment by accurately modelling both immediate and cumulative stress indicators, including heart rate variability and cortisol dynamics. While LRSM and RFSM underestimated delayed stress responses and ANN and SVM required greater computational resources, HSPM achieved a balanced trade-off between accuracy and efficiency, completing simulations in just 0.28 seconds. Sensitivity analysis revealed a 60% increase in cumulative stress under high-frequency conditions, confirming HSPM as the most reliable and realistic predictive framework.

Abstract: Innovative leadership plays a crucial role in enhancing the organizational agility of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in Kenya. However, these enterprises encounter several challenges that hinder their ability to adapt and respond effectively to changing market conditions. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate how innovative leadership influences organizational agility in Kenya’s strategic commercial state-owned enterprises. The research utilized a descriptive research design via cross-sectional studies to gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from senior managers in 46 strategic commercial state-owned enterprises. The study utilized a census methodology to enumerate all 138 respondents. The study found that innovative leadership (β=0.0227, t=3.241, p=0.002) had a positive significant effect on organizational agility of State-Owned Enterprises in Kenya. The study concludes that innovative leadership significantly improves organizational agility by fostering a culture that values creativity, experimentation, and openness to change. The study recommends that Kenyan SOEs implement adaptive leadership training, promote an innovation-driven and collaborative culture, and encourage continuous learning to improve decision-making and enhance leaders’ innovative capacity.

Abstract: The study investigated the effect of the Orphan and Vulnerable Children Cash Transfers (OVC-CT) program on psychosocial protection in Kibera slum, Nairobi. A descriptive research design was adopted, and a target population of 205 was utilized in a census composed of 100 child-headed households, 34 child officers, and 71 social workers. A response rate of 180(87%) was achieved. Questionnaires were used to collect data, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and later presented in themes. Ethical considerations of anonymity and confidentiality were adhered to. The results showed a positive correlation between OVC-CT and psychosocial protection since the fund aided in the provision of primary care in the child-headed households and access to housing. However, counseling services to cater to mental/psychological well-being were underreported as a mechanism used to secure the orphans and vulnerable children's psychosocial well-being.

Abstract: The Kenya’s aviation sector has encountered a number of obstacles which has it establish systems and procedures that promote effective governance and administration. However, the organization faces several challenges that have prevented it from achieving its desired goals and objectives. Therefore, this study investigated the influence of management commitment on the performance of Kenya Civil Aviation Authority in Nairobi City County, Kenya. This research employed an explanatory research design. The focus of the study was the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority. The target population comprised 173 individuals, which included senior executives, middle management, and junior operational staff at the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority headquarters. In this particular research, participants were classified based on their affiliations with different firms. The sample size consisted of 120 respondents. Primary data was collected using a semi-structured questionnaire. Additionally, the study involved 19 participants in a preliminary investigation carried out at the Kenya Airports Authority. A validation test for both construct and content was conducted to assess the validity of the questionnaire. The reliability of the instrument was evaluated through internal consistency using Cronbach’s alpha. Descriptive statistics were utilized to analyze quantitative data. Inferential statistics, including correlation analysis and regression analysis methods, were employed to ascertain the relationship between variables. Data was gathered through surveys and examined using basic statistics such as mean and variance. Tables were used to present the findings derived from the quantitative data. The study demonstrated a significant positive impact of management commitment on performance. It concludes that a committed management team ensures that the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority adheres to international safety standards and regulations, thereby reducing the likelihood of accidents and incidents. Furthermore, the study recommends that the organization should conduct regular training workshops for management to enhance their leadership skills, focusing on strategic planning, decision-making, and performance management.

Abstract: Santhal tribes are the important segments of society, mainly found in West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Orissa states of India. They are economically poor and socially backward tribes of India. However, they have rich cultural heritage. This study examines the socioeconomic development of Santhals of the Purulia district, West Bengal. It further illustrates how their social and economic conditions can be enhanced. This study is based on the collection of empirical data. A case study of eight villages of the Purulia district was conducted in the first half of 2023. A total of 824 households were surveyed, using purposive sampling methods. For the survey, the heads of households were interviewed asking several questions on their socioeconomic activities and status. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were applied to conduct and analyze the data. A structured questionnaire was designed where the questions were asked on population, education, occupation, infrastructural facilities, and income and economy. This study reveals that the Santal tribes are very poor as their socioeconomic status is low in terms of education, income, economy, and livelihoods.

Abstract: E-governance has had an intensive effect on how services are delivered in many areas, such as health. Many countries have used e-governance to change the way health services work by setting up online treatment platforms and e-health data management systems. These programs have made healthcare resources work better and cut down on the time it takes to get treatment. This study looks at how digital literacy affects trust, satisfaction, and adoption of e-governance, as well as how different parts of e-governance affect the performance of health institutions. We used a quantitative cross-sectional approach to collect data and Smart PLS SEM to analyse it. The results showed that digital literacy has a positive effect on e-governance adoption, trust, and satisfaction. Also, e-governance adoption and trust were found to have a positive effect on the performance of health institutions, but e-governance satisfaction did not have a statistically significant effect on performance. The results show that health professionals' satisfaction with e-governance platforms is important, but it doesn't directly affect how well health institutions do their jobs. E-governance adoption and trust have a positive effect on performance, though. It is suggested that authorities improve e-governance platforms to make health workers better off, which will help health institutions do their jobs better.

Abstract: The proposed study examines how in-service teacher training programs affect student learning outcomes in social studies within public primary schools in Rwanda’s Nyarugenge District. It focuses on three key aspects: the influence of teacher certification on student academic performance, the effect of changes in teaching methodologies on student motivation, and the impact of curriculum mastery on student participation. A descriptive survey design combining quantitative and qualitative methods was adopted. From a total population of 1,568, a sample of 326 participants was selected using the Yamane formula, including 316 teachers chosen by simple random sampling and 10 head teachers selected purposively.Data were collected using questionnaires and interview guides. Analysis involved descriptive statistics (frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations) and inferential statistics, particularly multiple regression, using SPSS version 21. Findings reveal a strong positive correlation between in-service teacher training and student learning outcomes, with 71.7% of performance variance explained by training programs. Among the training components, curriculum mastery showed the strongest correlation (0.719), highlighting its critical role in enhancing student engagement and understanding. Moderate positive relationships were also found between training and teacher certification (0.646), as well as adaptability in teaching methodologies (0.534). These results indicate that trained teachers tend to be more knowledgeable, certified, and flexible in their instructional approaches, which significantly improves teaching effectiveness. The study concludes that in-service teacher training is crucial for boosting student motivation, participation, and achievement in social studies. It recommends that the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders prioritize investment in teacher development programs, emphasizing curriculum mastery, certification, and active teaching strategies. Continuous professional development should be supported as a direct means of enhancing both teaching quality and student learning outcomes in public primary schools.

Abstract: The primary objective of this research was to investigate the influence of availability of banking services on the economic empowerment of women, specifically within the context of Murang’a County, Kenya. A descriptive research design was utilized, focusing on ten women's groups in Murang’a County, which together comprised a total of 474 members. Thus, the target population for the study was 474 individuals. To ensure that all respondents were adequately represented, a quota sampling method was employed, allowing for effective representation from the ten selected groups. Participants were chosen using a simple random sampling technique, resulting in a sample size of 217 individuals. Data collection was primarily conducted through questionnaires. To validate the research methodology, a pilot study was carried out with 22 participants from a women's group in Kiambu County. The quantitative data were analyzed descriptively, employing measures such as mean and standard deviation, while inferential analysis was used to examine the relationships among the variables. The findings were presented in tables and figures. The study concluded that there exists a positive and significant relationship between availability of banking services and women’s economic empowerment in Kenya. The study concludes that availability of banking services enable women to save money, access credit, and make investments that help them start or expand their businesses, increase their income, and ultimately achieve financial independence. The study recommends that the banks should focus on increasing the number of bank branches and ATMs by setting up more bank branches and ATMs in these areas, making it easier for women to access banking services without having to travel long distances.
