Abstract: Green building design strategies are practices that make use of environmentally friendly materials and technologies in the design, construction and operational lifecycle of a building. This study evaluated the extent to which green building design strategies were employed in the development of students' hostels in select universities in Nigeria, with a view to identify areas for enhancement. A simple random sampling technique was adopted in selecting three universities where two hostels (male and female) were purposively selected from each of the universities. Data was gathered by the aid of a structured observation guide from a total of six hostels. The results were content analysed and presented using charts and plates. The findings show that water recycling and reuse strategies were not used in any of the hostels. But plumbing strategies used to achieve water conservation were found to be adequate. To achieve indoor environmental quality, courtyards, overhangs and shading devices were moderately used. Low heat emitting paints was also found to be highly used. The study recommended the use of appropriate water recycling and reuse measures found to be lacking in the hostels and enhancement to other areas found to require improvements. The study promotes the implementation of appropriate green building design strategies in the development of students' hostels in Nigeria.

Abstract: Scholars have been interested in innovation commercialisation and internationalisation for the last two decades. This study provides an empirical case study based on innovation process theories. The findings indicate that both need-pull and technology-push play an important role in innovation internationlisation, and the interaction between them was critical to achieving success. The innovation needs to be technically and legally ready (technology-push) for diffusion when consumers call for a replacement of the traditional products (need-pull). Case study implys that innovative activities are mainly classified as incremental product innovation from a technological innovation perspective even though it might be radical product innovation from a consumer perspective. Since a new set of products are available to marketplaces, the innovation can also be classified as a process innovation. Product innovation also has characteristics of platform innovation when considering a series of product being upgraded. The paper argues there are a few important challenges and achievements in the innovation  management as well.

Abstract: Past efforts to protect and mitigate attacks have resulted in the development of security systems, targeting different types of attacks on isolated computer systems. The different IT systems yield data with varying formats that cannot be aggregated into a singular learning corpus. As a result, vulnerability scans on computer systems have limited value for cybersecurity experts and managers. This project introduces a centralized vulnerability management system (VMS) capable of hosting organizational security findings in a unified format that permits, among other things, offers vulnerability discovery, vulnerability validation, alerting and event notification, continuous asset profiling, metrics measurements, API integration, and bespoke development. Primarily, the system aggregates all vulnerability reports from different systems in an organization and presents them in a harmonized format using a web application.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to assess the preparedness and challenges of teachers of Social Studies on modular teaching in public secondary schools in Zone 1, Schools Division Office of Zambales during SY 2020-2021. The study utilized the quantitative descriptive survey research design with questionnaire as the main instrument in gathering data from one hundred (100) teachers coming from the 18 Secondary Schools, teaching Social Studies who were randomly selected.

The researcher found out that the teacher-respondent is female relatively young in her early adulthood, Teacher-I, graduate of masteral degree of education, teaching for almost two decades and had attended training related to modular teaching in the Division level. The teacher- respondents assessed “Agreed” on course/subject design, course communication, Time Management, and Technical Competence as dimensions on preparation of modular teaching. The respondents were “Strongly Agreed” on the perception towards challenges encountered in the implementation of modular learning approach. There is significant difference on Course/Subject Design, Course Communication and Time Management when grouped according to position profile variables. There is significant difference on the perception towards challenges encountered in the implementation of modular learning approach when grouped according to position and attendance to training related to modular teaching. There is positive moderate relationship between the level of challenges encountered and the level of preparedness in the implementation of modular learning approach. Project PROMOTE (PReparedness to Overcome challenges on MOdular TEaching) generally aims to develop skills of teachers to overcome challenges in modular teaching that contains sets of activities.

Abstract: This research compared the student-to-student (STS) model of injection as a default teaching strategy for dentistry students and the non-classmate-as-patient model of injection in helping dental students acquire or increase their level of empathy. This study used the quasi-experimental research design. Levels of empathy of second year dental students from a private tertiary institution were determined before and after any injection activities were performed using the Jefferson Scale of Empathy-Health Professions Students (JSE-HPS) version. One group administered the injections using the STS model of injection and another group performed the injections on their friends and family members. Pre-test and post-test scores of both groups were collected. Mean, frequency and percentage distributions, and t-test for both paired and unpaired groups were used to analyze data. Data showed that the pre-test level of empathy of second-year dental students ranged from 82 to 132 with a mean score of 107.46 (SD=10). Their post-test empathy level ranged from 82 to 134 with mean equal to 112.46 and SD=12.45. T-test yielded -3.76 at p=0.00 providing evidence that the two strategies improved the empathy level of students. Results affirm that while the overall level of empathy increased after using both strategies, only those who injected the local anesthesia to non-classmates registered a significant increase; there was no significant change for the STS group.

Abstract: Social media has witnessed exponential growth in the new millennium and the present information has contributed a wide variation of marketing in the hospitality industry that has quite the spotlight on hotels and restaurants. The effectiveness of social media has varied a lot of unique and strategized formation of promotions, preview, and branding towards specific hotels. The research would assess the effectiveness of social media platforms among accredited DOT (Department of Tourism) Hotels in Tagaytay based on Quality/Content of post, User Experience, and People Reached. The study is using Correlational Quantitative and used a 4-point Likert scale method and the prior respondents are the hotels’ previous guests. The researchers chose  Dependent and  Independent for the theoretical framework.  The researchers had provided survey questionnaires to 323  respondents and the study’s results show that most of the guests who are prone to book for hotels are at the age of 18-26, female with a detailed elaboration of hotels intended to book for mostly leisure and the nationalities are mostly Filipino.

Abstract: The study the impact of social media on consumer buying decision-making process, it was designed to adjudicate if social media has an impact on consumer preferences in buying, thus this study was conducted to the students, faculty and staff of De La Salle University - Dasmarinas. The researchers asked questions to the respondents through online questionnaire to determine if there will be impacts of social media presented. The respondents share the different factors on how social media affects their buying decision-making process. The study shows that there is a significant relationship between the social media and the consumers’ buying decision-making process.

Abstract: This research described faculty and student perceptions regarding clinical supervision in a Philippine dental school. It identified the factors which affect faculty and student perceptions, and whether both perceptions are congruent. Forty-eight faculty and two hundred ninety-five students (N=343) of a private dental university in the Philippines answered the Maastricht Clinical Teaching Questionnaire (MCTQ). Survey results showed both faculty and students had positive assessments of clinical supervision, however, their ratings of the domains differed.  The faculty had a significantly positive overall assessment than the students, according to the two-sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test conducted. Two-tailed T-tests revealed that student perceptions were not affected by sex and year level. On the other hand, ANOVA revealed that faculty perceptions were affected by the number of years in teaching, with ‘experts’ having more positive ratings. There is a significant difference in faculty and student perceptions on clinical supervision. Faculty characteristic, specifically number of years in teaching, has a significant difference in faculty perception on clinical supervision.

Abstract: A concessionaire is one who has the authority to sell food and beverages in a designated area. One of the main objectives of a food concessionaire is to meet the expectations of his customers to be able to satisfy them. This research aimed to determine the impacts of menu quality on customer satisfaction in food square concessionaires. The study was conducted in De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, a private institution located in Dasmarinas City, Cavite because the researchers would want to investigate if the food concessionaires inside the university premises are able to provide the nutritional needs of the students as well as meet their satisfaction. The study made use of a researcher-made online survey questionnaire which was administered to 150 respondents.  The study reached the following conclusion that the most important menu quality factor that customers consider when choosing the food/dishes to buy is the Food Quality which is composed of the following: overall food flavor, availability of delicious meals and tasty dishes, aroma/smell of the food, proper food temperature, and the method of cooking and preparation. Guided by the findings and conclusions of this study, food concessionaires must improve the quality of food by meeting the nutritional needs of each student on a regular basis. The final output of this study is a set of proposed healthy menu options for the food concessionaires in DLSU-Dasmarinas.

Abstract: Implementation of 5’S in hotels is very important because it provides an organized and efficient workplace for the employees. 5’S implementation can be applied in various industries such as hospitality particularly accommodation provider such as hotels. The researchers assess the implementation of 5’S in selected hotels in the city of Tagaytay which is a known tourist destination. The respondents in the study are the hotel employees from the selected hotels in the city of Tagaytay and survey questionnaire as the instrument of the study the result shows that most of the employees of the hotel age 21 to 30 with a gender of male, had an educational attainment of college graduate a monthly income range of P10,000 to P20,000 and is employed with the hotel for less than 1 year. The result of the 5’S assessment shows that the hotel employees often practiced Sort (Seiri), Set in Order (Seiton), Shine (Seiso) and Standard (Seiketsu) while the Sustain (Shitsuke) is sometimes practiced. The result of the relationship between the profile of the respondents and aspects of 5’S shows that there is no significant relationship.

Abstract: Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs) have become the best option for a customer wants to eat something good, affordable, and easily prepared. With such stiff competition, different QSRs market their company through their wide variety of product offerings as well as making use of creative pricing strategies. Pricing the products correctly can enhance how much a person sells and can also create the foundation for a business that will prosper. The impact of price and the consumer’s purchase decisions are very dependent on each other. This quantitative descriptive research proved that there are many factors that can influence the consumer’s decision. It also determined the perception of 100 respondents/students from De La Salle University- Dasmariñas regarding the effectiveness of the pricing strategies used in QSRs. Based on the results, affordability is the most important factor that a customer considers when buying a product. This is followed by value for money and then appeal. All these factors have influence, to a certain extent, the customer’s decision. The study also presented that there is no significant relationship between the respondents’ demographic profile and their perception of the effectiveness of the pricing strategies used in QSRs. Therefore, the null hypothesis was accepted. Furthermore, the results of the most preferred pricing strategy showed that product line is rank1, bundle is rank 2, psychological is rank 3, and premium pricing is rank 4. As part of the recommendations, the researchers suggested to test the effectivity of the 6 other pricing strategies which include Penetration, Skimming, Competition, Cost Plus, Cost-Based, and Optional Product Pricing. Another recommendation is to include more respondents from different communities and age groups that will enable the study to be more extensive and have a broader scope in terms of demographics. Lastly, the researchers formulated a set of marketing strategies on product and pricing (product line, bundle, psychological, and premium pricing) in accordance with the results of the study.

Abstract: Since the pandemic, people are instructed to stay at home and limit themselves from going outside. Food is one of the necessities that people need and one way to get food is to buy it in the market or buy it at a food establishment. Because of the development of technology, companies such as GrabFood, FoodPanda, LalaFood, and other companies found a way to bring convenience to customers and reduce the spread of the virus by going outside. The researchers conducted a study about customer satisfaction with Online Food Service Delivery among DLSUD students to point out if customers received a good and quality standard of service from the food delivery riders. The researchers used the 4-Point Likert Scale for DLSUD students to rate their satisfaction with the Online Food Delivery Service and they also used One-Way ANOVA to compute the gathered data and determine their satisfaction with Online Food Delivery Service. The researchers found out that the DLSUD students that answered the survey were satisfied with the way they received the service by using Online Food Service Delivery. Because of the company's rapid growth and exceptional research and development, they were able to comply with the health and safety protocols and still give out good and quality service to the customers.

Abstract:  The ultimate aim of this study is to know the satisfaction customer gets when they use this online app to order their food in Jollibee Waltermart Dasmarinas, with this study we will know what are the points that we need to consider when using online app in ordering food online that will be beneficial for students taking BSHRM course and entrepreneurs in the food insdustry. This study starts by knowing what are the common positive and negative effects do customers attained using this online app in ordering food when it comes to their demographic profile. Secondly know what is the main causes of this effects on customer satisfaction and lastly finalized the data by creating a tabulation of all data collected from the customers. Online survey in the form of google forms was use for methodology to gather data from 100 out of the population in Dasmarinas cavite who voluntary take the survey. Results indicated that majority of the people who use this application are female and people in the range of 25 years old and above that are single and employed are satisfied in using this online app in ordering food in Jollibee Waltermart Dasmarinas. A detailed and critical analysis of the results is provided in the last chapter.

Abstract: Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, health and safety protocols were imposed by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) to the food service industry as they reopen their business to the public again under the New Normal. In line with these changes, this study aimed to assess the impacts of the implementation of these health protocols to service quality. Also, the study sought to find the relationship between the demographic profile of the respondents and their assessment of the impacts of the health protocols to service quality in the three selected fast food restaurants in Dasmarinas City, Cavite. The researchers used the descriptive-quantitative research method and applied simple random sampling to collect data through a survey questionnaire from 150 customers of the selected restaurants via online using the Google form. The data was treated and analyzed using descriptive statistical tools and the Chi-Square was employed to see if there was a significant relationship between the respondents' demographic profile and their assessment of the impacts of the health protocols to service quality. The findings of the study showed that upon the implementation of the health protocols in the restaurants, there is high impact to service quality in terms of reliability, tangibility, and responsiveness while there is moderate impact in terms of assurance and empathy. Furthermore, when the respondents are grouped in terms of age, gender, civil status, educational attainment, employment status, income level, and frequency of visit, the results showed that each of this variable has no significant relationship with their assessment of the impacts of health protocols’ implementation to service quality. Hence, the null hypothesis of no significant relationship was accepted. Lastly, the researchers made several recommendations to the selected restaurants for them to be able to improve service quality in adherence to the health protocols imposed by the IATF.
