Abstract: This article stems from a study done on the implications on human security of the victims of the Structural Adjustment Program (SAP) implementation during the era of President FTJ Chiluba in the 1990s. SAP was implemented as a way to reform the non-performing State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) at that time. This implementation of SAP was in adherence with the requisite conditions for an economic bailout package for Zambia by the World Bank. In a case such as the Zambia Airways, workers were brought into the world of unemployment overnight and unprepared because the declaration of the closure of the firm was abrupt. Adopting a qualitative research design and using focus group discussions as sources of data for this research, the aim of the study was to gain an insight into the experiences of the persons who lost employment during the implementation of the reform. In doing this, the study sought to appreciation the possible correlation between the implementation of SAP and the extinguishing of human security of the victims of the reforms. The study concluded that indeed the human security of the people who lost employment was shattered. It is recommended that in the event of implementation of such reforms in the future, certain social safety nets must be in place in order to defend and safe guard the human security of citizens.

Abstract: Security metrics relevance in business management has exploded in recent times due to the increase in the role of security in organizations in the face of global security challenges, cut-throat competition and the concomitant rise in budgetary allocations to the function. The security metrics however, are challenged for a number of reasons including its relative age, nature of the function and perception of the same. A number of theories have been postulated to justify the need for security metrics as well as postulate analysis tools and they include the Argumentation Theory, the Gordon-Loeb Model and the Critical Infrastructure/Key Resource Protection Theory. Correctness and effectiveness, leading vs lagging indicators, organizational security objectives, quantitative and qualitative properties and measurement of small vs huge dimensions are key aspects in the field that must be carefully considered in the development of security metrics and have been discussed in this paper. The biggest challenges in the field include what measure, how to measure, how to report and the problem of outliers in data. These challenges can however be overcome through careful consideration of the aspects to arrive at correct and highly effective security metrics.

Abstract: This paper enlightened the Human Resourse study in manufacturing Industries aimed to understand the issues of HRM practices country like India. Needs  to exploit the massive HR to its best. Human Resource Management includes conducting job analyses, planning personnel needs, recruiting the right people for the job, orienting and training, managing wages and salaries, providing benefits and incentives, evaluating performance, resolving disputes, and communicating with all employees at all levels. Industry in Bhopal is one of the major commercial hubs of Madhya Pradesh, with the secondary sector in the district having grown at 15.2 percent   CAGR in the past five years. MPAKVN (Bhopal) Limited, a subsidiary of M.P. State Industrial Development Corporation Limited, has an industrial growth centre on 1350.38 hectares of land at Mandideep and Pillukhedi in the district. [6] Bhopal AKVN has attracted investments from several leading industries such as HEG, Daulat Ram Crompton and Greaves, P&G, Godrej, Lupin, IFB, Nahar etc.

Abstract: In a business environment that’s highly competitive firms should have the ability to cater for technological changes, customers demand and also global competition. Thus innovation becomes vital for firms operating continuously in a dynamic and uncertain environment. It is imperative for leaders to promote innovation. Ideally when a firm engages in innovation it improves performance. The study intended to ascertain the effect of innovation on performance of Deposit Taking SACCO’s in Kenya. The study was guided by positivism research philosophy and used descriptive correlational research design. Primary data was collected using close ended questionnaires and an interview schedule targeting 126 senior managers and 42 CEO’s of Deposit Taking SACCO’s in Kenya. Census technique was employed. The study population comprised of all 42 Deposit Taking SACCO’s operating in Nairobi County, Kenya. Purposive sampling was employed to select the CEO’s and senior managers of Deposit Taking SACCO’s. Further simple random technique was employed in selecting 12 CEO’s who were to be interviewed. For analysis the study adopted descriptive statistics, inferential statistics as well as content analysis. The study confirmed that innovation had a positive and significant effect on the performance of Deposit Taking SACCO’s in Kenya. The study therefore recommends that Innovation should be embraced by DTS and specifically product, market and technological innovation as they enhance performance.

Abstract: The banking industry is vital in respect to the financial allocation through its intermediation functions of funds transfer to deficit units from surplus units. To ensure the sustenance of these functions, good performance needs to be maintained which ultimately guarantee the survival of banks.  This investigation aimed at ascertaining the influence of macroeconomic factors on financial performance of listed commercial banks at the NSE, Kenya. Research population comprised of the 11 listed banks at the NSE, Kenya. The findings of the study indicated that inflation has a positive and insignificant effect of inflation on financial performance of listed commercial banks at the NSE, Kenya. The study further found that exchange rate has a negative and significant effect on financial performance of listed commercial banks at the NSE, Kenya. Lastly, the regression output indicated a positive and insignificant effect of interest rate on financial performance of listed commercial banks at the NSE, Kenya. The study recommends that bank management should come up with policies or strategies regarding cross border transactions that will cushion the negative effect of exchange rate fluctuations on financial performance of listed commercial banks at the NSE, Kenya.

Abstract: The rapid trends and the persistent growth of Food Parks over the past generation is surprisingly unexpected as it gathered and attracted a lot of interests from millennials, Yet, only few of these researches had been conducted to examine on how the direct observation, may be associated with the satisfaction of the customers. The researchers gathered various feedbacks from the two social media platforms (Facebook and Google Reviews) and did an observation inside The Food Barn. The findings revealed Food Barn received an overall total of 105 (86.76%) positive feedbacks and 16 (13.19%) negative feedbacks. These findings suggest that the customers had a hard access to Food Barn’s Parking Space which to engage the car owners to be parked outside the premises, the researchers recommended Food Barn to have its own nutritionist as some of the customers are not in favor of the Food, And as for the Facilities the customers and the researchers suggested Food Barn to refurbish its furnishings especially its water drainage as it houses by mosquitoes.

Abstract: The paper focuses on the changes in the economic performance of the country before and after globalization. The paper shows the graph of import and export rates of the past 20years in order to draw analysis and conclude the changes in the development of export and import in the country. The economic reform was introduced in India in the year 1991 since then the Indian economy has gradually moving ahead and becoming one of the great economic countries since then. The objective of implementing Globalization was to strengthen the Indian trade with the foreign countries, the removal of barriers and free import and export. The policy concentrated mainly on the liberalization of capital products and industryoriented imports to promote national and export-oriented development. The paper focuses on the Globalization, Indian foreign trade. The analysis includes the study of last 20 years Exports and Imports of top 5 countries and the Government of India responses of trade and investment policies of the Government of India.

Abstract: Good strategies are needed in order for organisations to succeed in a competitive worldwide environment. Safaricom needs competitive strategies to allow them to overcome the competitive difficulties they face in their operating environment. The rise in Kenya's telecommunications companies has led in harsh competition. Safaricom seeks to take full advantage of the possibilities open to them in this respect in order to gain competitive advantage. This research therefore aimed to determine the impact of differentiation strategy on telecommunications industry performance in Kenya. This study used the design of descriptive research. There were 58 participants in the target population. A census was conducted of 58 participants. Using questionnaires, primary data was gathered. The mean and standard deviations were used to analyze quantitative data gathered as descriptive statistics. The study found a significantly positive influence between differentiation strategy and the performance of Safaricom. The research concludes that a good strategy to product differentiation produces customer loyalty and the same strategy that gains market share through perceived quality or cost savings can create consumer loyalty and recommends that Safaricom continue to give customers quality or value in order to maintain customer loyalty.

Abstract: Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) had been a major source of employment.  However, medium and large enterprises have gradually mushroomed in the market.  This study was conducted to determine the effects of the establishment of a hypermarket on the micro enterprises of Isabel, Leyte, Philippines.  The study used the descriptive survey method supplemented by documentary inspection, viz.:  financial statements of microenterprises.  The respondents were store owners and managers.  The comparative performance data of the micro enterprises before and after the establishment of the hypermarket revealed a decreasing trend on the following key indicators:  sales, profit and customers.  It was also discovered that virtually no effort has been exerted by the management to reverse the decreasing trend.  Micro enterprises also have no participation in business networks and have not availed of government support services. The study concluded that establishment of a hypermarket has unfavorable effects on the micro enterprises.  It is recommended that: 1) micro enterprises organize themselves into a business group to share and hone innovative ideas, 2) avail of government support available in the locality and 3) explore the viability of business combinations such as retailer’s cooperative, thus pooling the micro enterprises’ meager resources and making them more competitive.

This has been explained through various examples of the organization, which had to face obstructions or failure because of cultural conflict. A few examples of failure of  successful organizations like Disneyland and McDonald have also been used to explain the impact of cross-cultural conflict. Evidences from organizations like that of Chrysler and Daimler has been used to explain the impact of cross-cultural conflict after merger and the reason for the failure of the merged organisation has been explained.

Abstract: The Trade war initiated by the US between world’s two largest economies had spread the uncertainty globally. The conflict was started on the allegations of US President Trump over China on their theft of American intellectual property and their unfair trade practices and thereby implementing higher tariff on certain Chinese products. The countries affected by the new tariffs and other countries are also bothered by the impact of the trade conflict in terms of exports and imports. Though some crisis is going around, some countries are also benefitting from the trade upheaval prevailing in the current market scenario. Those emerging countries gain more market in manufacturing and production sectors indirectly. The trade crisis amid of US and China had resulted in a trade imbalance in certain sectors and also has affected the global economy adversely. This article throws light towards the US-China trade war and their impacts on global exports and world economy.

Abstract: Long gone are the days of procuring items from highly sophisticated retail outlets as with the Development of e-commerce, consumers have found it really comfortable to buy their Requirements both large and small, online. Electronic commerce, affectionately known as the e-commerce, is the trading of goods in a stimulated online world. The virtual world of e- commerce helps in providing an ease of access that did not exist a few years ago. E- commerce had grown up on a global scale crossing all expectation of the trading society.

Major aim of this growth is the ultimate satisfaction of the consumer groups who are to be targeted. This paper discusses about the changes in consumer behaviour due to the lately trending of e-commerce. The brief review is mainly dependent upon customer psychology. As said in the commerce background, customer is the king of the market. So the psychological factors affecting consumers are of great significance and value to the sellers. Mainly identified factors that reflected from our study can be generalized as perception, motivation, learning, attitude, beliefs and so on. A market oriented marketer must take into consideration these psychological factors while undertaking the strategic marketing Decisions to enhance their own growth.
