Abstract: Effective Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) practices are essential for enhancing project performance and achieving successful outcomes. In Kenya, the State Department for Housing and Urban Development (SDHUD) manages large-scale housing projects aimed at addressing the national housing deficit, yet persistent performance challenges, including budgetary inefficiencies and delayed implementation, have been reported. This study examined the influence of M&E practices including planning, staff expertise, data usage, and financing on the performance of government housing construction projects in Nairobi City County. Guided by Campbell’s performance theory and the Resource-Based View theory, the research adopted a descriptive design targeting 70 housing projects implemented between FY 2019/2020 and 2023/2024. Using stratified random sampling, 64 respondents directly involved in project execution provided primary data through structured questionnaires. Instrument validity was assessed via criterion-oriented validity, while reliability was confirmed through Cronbach’s alpha. Qualitative data were analyzed thematically, and quantitative data were subjected to descriptive and inferential statistics using STATA 19.0. Findings revealed significant positive associations between M&E planning, staff expertise, financing, data utilization, and project performance. The study recommends that SDHUD enhance M&E planning, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation; invest in skilled personnel, modern tools, and capacity-building initiatives; and institutionalize data-driven decision-making. Aligning M&E financing with project objectives and documenting lessons learned are further advised to promote transparency, accountability, and sustained improvements in housing project outcomes.

Abstract: Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) forms a very important sector of economic framework of India, as it plays a key role in generating employment, industrial production and development of the regions. In Tamil Nadu, the MSMEs are critical in the growth of the sector in manufacturing, textiles, services, and trade. The Central and State Governments have adopted various support schemes, such as credit guarantees, capital subsidies, interest subversion programs and digital assistance programs, to improve their competitiveness and resilience. Nevertheless, there is very little empirical data on how these schemes are effective at the district level.This research paper provides an empirical analysis of how government support schemes affect the financial performance of MSMEs in selected districts of Tamil Nadu. Based on the primary data obtained in the form of registered MSMEs and it is supported with secondary sources, the research will employ the quantitative methodology such as regression analysis to determine the relationship between scheme awareness, availability and the financial metrics of the business enterprise such as profitability, revenue growth and operational stability.The research findings should help provide evidence on the importance of policy interventions on the financial performance of the business enterprise and also identify gaps in the implementation of the schemes. The research has a contribution to the policy evaluation literature in a way that it provides a district-level of understanding and feasible implications to the enhancement of design and delivery of support schemes.

Abstract: This study investigated the effect of a turnaround strategy on the performance of Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) between 2018 and 2022. Operating in a challenging energy sector, KPLC faced multifaceted challenges, including operational inefficiencies, limited management autonomy, bureaucracy, and financial instability, which led to a decline in performance. The study aimed to identify the specific turnaround strategies adopted by KPLC during the period of decline and to assess their correlation with the observed changes in performance indicators over the five-year period. Guided by the Stage Theory of Successful Turnaround and Stakeholder Theory, the research adopted a qualitative case study design, collecting data through interviews with senior managers at the company’s headquarters. Analysis revealed that KPLC implemented strategies focused on cost control, revenue enhancement, organizational restructuring, operational efficiency, and customer engagement. The study found that although the turnaround initiatives of KPLC successfully improved their short-term financial performance, external factors such as the delay in approval of a cost-reflective tariff, a subsequent 15% tariff reduction, the direct and indirect impacts of COVID-19 on the broader economy and the depreciation of the Kenya Shilling against major foreign currencies, undermined sustainable, long-term recovery. Consequently, the company achieved only 20% of its targeted performance gains, reflecting a negative variance of 80% from the set targets. The study concluded that the turnaround strategy fell short of comprehensively addressing the complex challenges contributing to KPLC’s performance decline. It recommends the development of an agile, innovation-driven strategy that incorporates lessons learned and mitigates foreign exchange risks, particularly through renegotiating power purchase agreements to align currency exposure with revenue streams.

Abstract: This study evaluates the Indian implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) and its assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs in Karnataka. It appraises the socio-economic profile, perceptions, and PMMY of the benefited entrepreneurs. This paper employs a Structural Equation Model-SEM in explaining awareness, purpose and benefits of an Entrepreneurs from mudra scheme in Karnataka. Main purpose of the study is to explore the effects of awareness and purpose on level of Entrepreneurs benefits from mudra scheme. Data were collected in 5 areas of the Karnataka each comprising 50 entrepreneurs, a totaling of 250 entrepreneurs. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was used to construct latent variables. Next, the variables were added to the SEM. The EFA techniques contained three components, all of which matched theoretical components. Based on the SEM model, The scheme's purpose and benefits increase with more awareness. Similarly, benefits were also fostered by a greater cause. Findings revealed that most individuals are aware of the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana and think it can help create jobs, even though individual criteria like income, age, and education may not be able to substantiate a relationship with the scheme's utilization. To further promote awareness, the government should conduct various awareness programs, including workshops, seminars, and TV interviews, to educate potential beneficiaries about the application process and the scheme's benefits.

Abstract: The aim of the study, the escalating role of the use of financial technology has changed business in the world and digital payment systems came out to be the key catalyst of this change. Small-scale industries (SSIs) are the main pillars of the Indian economy and they are continually hindered by insufficient access to credit, financial management inefficiency and limited market penetration. In that regard, digital payment systems have a high potential to increase their sustainability, development, and performance by increasing the degree of transparency, lowering the cost of transactions, and permitting a wider range of participation in formal financial networks. This paper will analyze how adoption of digital payments contributes to the enhancement of operational and financial productivity of SSIs. The mixed-method method is adopted, which uses quantitative surveys, and qualitative interviews and focus groups discussions to ensure the collection of the measurable effects and the contextual perceptions. The research design is representative in that it has a wide sample of enterprises as it has businesses that are in agro-based sectors, manufacturing, services, handicrafts, and trade. Digital payment adoption and key business outcomes are assessed using analytical tools in the form of descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression, which are processed with SPSS. Other barriers such as cybersecurity threats, infrastructural constraints, and digital literacy gaps are also taken into consideration in the study as they could affect adoption and effectiveness. The contribution of this research to the extensive discussion of digital financial inclusion and its contribution to the further sustainable development of small enterprises is possible through the combination of empirical findings and the opinions of stakeholders. The results are expected to give practical recommendations to policymakers, business persons, and industry bodies in terms of building a safe and inclusive digital payment ecosystem.

Abstract: In Tanzania, and more so in Morogoro Municipality, labour policies are significant in the development and competitiveness of poultry agro-processing industries. Enforcement of laws like the Employment and Labour Relations Act (2004) and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (2003) has led to some challenges of implementation, poor awareness, and poor institutional capacity, which has created loopholes between the policy desires and the situation in industries. The paper analyses the connection between labour policy and employee satisfaction within the poultry agro-processing industry using The selected  local poultry producer as a case study. The convergent parallel mixed-method research design was utilized under the influence of the Human Capital Theory, which included the use of questionnaires, interviews, and logistic regression analysis to determine important factors of productivity. The results indicate that the labor force is dominated by youth, men, and middle-educated, with low levels of special technical capabilities and low female labor force. Management practices, employee training, and technological advancement discovered to have the greatest influence on labour productivity, with labour costs, capital investment and workplace conditions being less prominent but still influential. The findings validate the fact that the higher level of productivity depends not only on financial investments but also on the development of human resources, successful leadership, and equitable labour relations. The research findings conclude that to gain sustainable productivity, companies should combine systematic training, inclusive hiring, high salaries, and safe workplace with on-strategy technological integration. It proposes specific measures to close the gender gaps, enhance the policy implementation, and match the capital investments with the range of the workforce capacities. These results offer evidence-based information to policymakers, industry leaders, and other stakeholders to fine-tune labour laws, enhance labour capacity, and trigger the development of the Tanzanian agro-processing industry.

Abstract: Organisational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) refers to voluntary, discretionary actions by employees that enhance organisational effectiveness but are not directly recognized by the formal reward system. OCB plays a pivotal role in improving organisational performance by fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. This study aims to explore the definitions, dimensions, factors influencing OCB, and its impact on organisational performance. Utilising a qualitative secondary research methodology, data were extracted from 45 published sources through the PRISMA model. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify key themes and patterns in the literature.

The results show that OCB is characterised by deeds outside of official employment criteria and falls under categories including altruism, conscientiousness, sportsmanship, courtesy, and civic virtue. Transformational leadership, supportive organisational culture, employee engagement, job happiness, organisational justice, work-life balance, psychological empowerment, and trust are some of the elements impacting OCB. OCB increases production, efficiency, and innovation within businesses, even when its absence might lead to more conflicts and lower performance. The report stresses the significance of aligning organisational and personal goals and building a supportive culture if we are to maximise OCB's benefits.

These outcomes suggest that businesses should focus on developing transformative leaders, establishing an inclusive culture, and providing regular remarks to raise OCB. Future research should investigate the long-term effects of OCB, its cultural differences, how OCB interacts with intrinsic motivation, and how changes in remote work and technology influence these activities. By means of better OCB, one would have complete understanding to enhance organisational performance by means of filling in knowledge gaps.

Abstract: GCC oil and gas industry has large, expensive and complex projects, and this has led to an increased adoption of Agile and Hybrid-Agile to enhance delivery. The paper will examine the impact of pure Agile and Hybrid-Agile project management on project performance in the GCC oil and gas projects with reference to survey information and statistical review of the project performance. Abstract: The extensive application of formal project management styles still exposes GCC oil and gas projects to schedule delays, cost overruns and quality deficiencies. The paper is an investigation on the existence of moderation between the Project Management Approach (PMA) and the Project Performance (PP) by Risk Management (RM) in oil and gas projects in the GCC. The study provides the interaction testing (regression-based and supported by the group comparisons when needed) to determine whether RM reinforces or preconditions the relationship between PMA and PP using the survey data on the project delivery professionals. The results offer evidence of the purpose of RM as a performance enabling capability within an asset intensive and high consequence project setting providing implications on how to enhance delivery reliability and governance within GCC portfolios.

Abstract: The level of satisfaction towards E-Banking services offered by Public and Private Sector banks reflects customers’ overall evaluation of digital banking facilities such as internet banking, mobile banking, online fund transfers, and digital payment services. It indicates how effectively these banks meet customer expectations in terms of convenience, security, speed, and service quality. Both Primary and Secondary data has been used for the study. The sample size for the study is 385. The sampling technique is used for the study is Convenience sampling method. The findings of the study shows that 24x7 availability of the bank website secured the highest mean score ranked first, indicating that customers highly value uninterrupted access to banking services.

Abstract: This research aims to provide directions for various sectors of logistics companies by identifying last-mile practices and analyzing their impact on the operational performance of logistics firms in Parañaque City. The study focuses on last-mile practices and their impact on the operational performance of specific logistics firms in Parañaque City. This study included aspects such as resource utilization, service quality control, lean infrastructure, and environmental impact. The study employed a descriptive and correlational research approach to interpret quantitative data. The researchers used these techniques to determine whether last-mile practices and operational performance were statistically correlated. Purposive and quota sampling methods were used to select 150 participants from 15 participating companies. The participants in the study were the delivery personnel, logistics staff, managers, and supervisors. The findings showed that picking had the highest level of impact in last-mile operations and that there was no significant difference in the impact of last-mile practices on operational performance when grouped according to business profile. Additionally, no significant correlation was found between last-mile practices and operational performance. The study concluded that logistics companies prioritize picking over other last-mile practices. Therefore, it is recommended that they enhance all last-mile practices to improve overall operational performance.

Abstract: Women Entrepreneurs in Sivakasi City are facing various problems due to the PMMY Schemes, the biggest problem being that most people do not know any information about the PMMY Schemes and how to access them. Women Entrepreneurs choose the financial constraints they face in their business. They are the most vulnerable to joining those programs and receiving funds. In this Program, Micro, Small Business executives can get the financial support they need, which is a great way for them to face various types of impacts. Abstract: Students will select AI tools for their work based on their assessment of how easy these tools are to operate and what benefits they provide. Social cognitive theory shows that students who use AI-enhanced simulations with feedback systems will develop higher entrepreneurial self-efficacy which will lead them to pursue their goals. The diffusion of innovation theory demonstrates that organizations need to accept AI-based entrepreneurship strategies which must match their existing resources for successful implementation to create results-driven environments. The three theories work together to form a single model which shows how artificial intelligence (AI) functions as a strategic asset and active resource that enhances entrepreneurial orientation, develops self-efficacy, and boosts innovation spread across higher education systems. Recommendation The educational institutions should develop entrepreneurship courses which use Artificial Intelligence to create customized learning experiences which help students acquire new skills. The educational institutions need to track which AI tools provide the greatest value for their student population and educational goals. The research shows that AI technologies succeed better in teaching entrepreneurship compared to traditional educational methods. The educational institutions must establish workshops and bootcamps and elective courses to teach AI literacy and awareness to entrepreneurship students. The process of selecting AI tools should involve student participation because their needs should drive entrepreneurship tools development. The combination of interdisciplinary lab work and trained faculty mentors will enable students to develop innovative solutions while learning to implement effective AI systems. The system needs feedback throughout the process to achieve ongoing enhancements which will result in better satisfaction and improved results.

Abstract: Adversity refers to challenging situations or events that test individuals in various aspects of life. How a person responds to adversity determines whether it leads to feelings of disappointment, sadness, despair, and hopelessness, or to growth, happiness, and success. Adversity Quotient (AQ), also known as the science of resilience, measures an individual's capacity to cope with life's challenges. Those with a high AQ are able to persevere and progress despite facing significant obstacles, demonstrating resilience and the ability to rise above adversity. The Main objective of the study is to analyse the relationship between adversity quotient and Job stress.

Both Primary and Secondary data has been used for the study. The primary data were collected from IT Employees with the sample size for 514. Proportionate sampling method has been used for the study since the population is known. Tools used for the analysis is descriptive statistics, chi square analysis and correspondence analysis and Means score analysis. The findings of the study shows that the 56 per cent of them were having average Job stress; 61 per cent of them were having high time stress. 75 per cent of them were having a average anxiety stress.  In the control dimension of AQ, people mostly fall in the category of average with 56 per cent; In the Ownership dimension of AQ, most people were in a low category with 54 per cent; 61 per cent of the respondents are fall in the category of average; In the Endurance dimension, most of the sample fall low category with 67 per cent.

Abstract: Export finance plays a vital role in promoting the growth and competitiveness of the leather industry, particularly in export-oriented regions like Vellore District. This study examines the opinion of leather exporters regarding export finance facilities provided by banks and financial institutions. It focuses on exporters’ awareness, accessibility, adequacy, cost of finance, procedural requirements, and overall satisfaction with export credit services. The study also identifies key challenges faced by exporters, such as delays in sanctioning, stringent documentation, high interest rates, and foreign exchange risks. Primary data were collected from leather exporters in Vellore District using a structured questionnaire, and appropriate statistical tools were applied for analysis. The findings highlight the need for simplified procedures, exporter-friendly credit policies, and improved banker–exporter coordination to enhance the effectiveness of export finance and support the sustainable growth of the leather industry in the district.
